Stayed at Maison Rouge for my Daughters Birthday in October. It was such a great stay! Tons of room for everyone! It would have been awesome to use the three kayaks if the water was warmer! I will definitely book again in the summer so we can take advantage of the private waterfront access.

This is our third time at this property. So we clearly love it! Amazing location right on the beach of lake Michigan; ample size; high ceilings; gorgeous views from the windows; everything you need for communal cooking, dining and socializing; plenty of games and equipment to never get bored; and great bunk room for 10. Thank you so much for letting us in and allowing us to have so much fun! We really hope to be back next year.

Booking through simple life has been great. I’ve always booked through VRBO and it’s been fine. We found out about simple life last year after booking our door county house in may through Vrbo and when we went back in August booked on simple life’s website. Just booked again for may and saved a decent amount of money booking though simple life. The customer service is great

We had a wonderful stay in Townsend! The house was neat and very clean, the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s walkable to Hillcrest and a very short drive to Old Town Hall or Little Tipsy. There was plenty of space for our group of 7 to spread out and the games downstairs kept the kids (and adults) entertained for hours! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay in Door County. A beautiful setting along Lake Michigan. The communication from the property management team leading up to the stay, during, and after was excellent.

We stayed in Loon Rapids Lodge in Mountain, WI which is a beautiful place by itself. However, the place was incredibly dirty. The management is charging a high fee for cleaning but with all their policy for renters (strip the beds, wash the dishes, take out the garbage), they’re not meeting their own high standards. To begin with, my mom’s room had dead flies all over the bed and floor (see pictures attached). My sister’s blanket was torn on the corner. As I’ve mentioned before, the renters are responsible for taking off the bedsheets and pillowcases. That’s what me and my husband followed when we discovered how yellow and dirty our bedding was. I understand we were staying in a cabin, not a 5 star luxury hotel in downtown Chicago, however it is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting to treat your guests this way. The cherry on the cake were sticky dishes and a silverware drawer with some spices or dust in it. Also, how can you ask the guests to wash the dishes in a place where there’s no dishwasher, if you don’t provide them with a sponge? Well, we had to improvise and use a hand rag leaving the place upon check out cleaner than it was at check in. All in all, I’m giving 3 stars to our overall staying as the nature was beautiful and the house was nice itself too, only if it was taken a proper care of.

What a wonderful place especially for families! The host was super responsive and the house was gorgeous with views of the lake and very comfortable all around. Would definitely recommend!
