Tandem is a fantastic company. Suzie and Martin are especially helpful. We needed some information regarding our HOA and needed it right away. They were right on top of it and got it to us faster than we were expecting. They really saved the day. Our HOA has used Tandem as our management company for many years and have been very professional, helpful and reliable. If you are looking for the best management company around you’ve found it.

Not exactly sure why any HOA is still being managed by these unprofessional people, but hey, if you want to throw your money away, hire Tandem Property Management. Make sure to request Martin Wilson as your property manager. Not only will he never respond to your emails or calls, he’ll also be the first one to ensure nothing is getting fixed in a timely manner. And good luck requesting HOA documents, they are great at charging you and sending you literally blank pages (and then have fun getting them on the phone to request a refund, because they “pick up the phone”.) Sarcasm aside, this group has been nothing but a headache, simply put, they are unprofessional and should not be in the business of managing your HOA and especially your hard-earned money. The financials they prepare are borderline 1st grade work, who knows if funds are randomly disappearing from HOA’s bank account. Good luck if they are still managing your HOA, I highly recommend you look for an alternative property manager.

I have lived in this park for over eight years. We have always had a friendly, active, and caring community. We had several committees of volunteers that enjoyed helping our park in various ways. We had a very successful Social Council that for over 40 years brought us various monthly activities. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, we always had about 100 people in the clubhouse, eating, drinking, dancing and really enjoying being together.

That all came to an end in March of 2023 when our board brought Tandem Property Management into the park. The first thing Tandem did was force our Social Council to close down by putting all kinds of restrictions on it that were impossible for it to comply with. Then Tandem told all of our volunteers to stay home, that they will do everything themselves.

Tandem started tearing apart our pool area. The pool was recently re-opened after being closed almost five months (that's as long as it takes to build a new one)!! For various reasons, our billiards room has been closed for several months and is a disaster, in part because of all the boxes the owner of Tandem, Suzie Wilson, has put in there. Our excersize room has also been closed for several months.

If your HOA is considering hiring Tandem, beware! Read the Yelp and Google reviews and also check the Better Business Bureau's website where you will see that Tandem is not accredited and also has a one out of 5 star rating for customer reviews.

BEWARE OF TANDEM/LYONS MANAGEMENT COMPANY. I agree with the other reviews, if I could give Tandem a zero, I would. We had a wonderful mobile home park until they arrived on the scene. And what is inconceivable is that our Board goes along with everything they say and do. Tandem tries to control everything but then they don't/can't even fulfill their contract. They control communication by charging committees for using our own printer; claiming all materials have to be 'sanctioned' before they are allowed to be put in residents' tubes; they have not allowed our directory, with names and phone numbers, to be printed; they stopped our newsletter from being printed; and we have no way to speak on the phone to an on-site manager. In fact, in nine months, we still don't have an on-site manager, even though their contract says that they will provide one! Their contract also calls for monthly visual inspections of our common areas but we have yet to see that. Tandem has, in affect, gotten rid of our committees by requiring a review of their charters (that 'review' has taken six months and we're still waiting). They also tried to shutdown our Social Council (the first week here, Suzie Wilson told us she was a caterer and could put on all of our events) but so far, it's been able to proceed without her. Our rules and regulations were about to be published but Tandem demanded to review them. Now, nine months later, we still don't have them. But the worse thing is, Tandem was hired mainly to manage our money and we've even had problems with that. It's the policy of our HOA to do a yearly Reserve Study. Tandem never ordered one. Tandem also failed to make payments to our Reserve accounts for at least eight months, costing us thousands of dollars in current and future compounded interest. I could go on and on. Think twice about hiring these people. Don't be fooled. They are manipulative, secretive and deceptive. We are counting the days until we can get rid of them.
UPDATE: We have now had Tandem Property Managers for over a year. What a mistake, and it only gets worse! The pool/spa repair took five months to complete.They re-did the decking that was done only three years ago and painted it three times! We could have built a new pool in that time. Three major projects have been started but none of them have been completed or even worked on for months. Thus we can't use a fourth of our clubhouse and a remaining room has been junked up with boxes due to Suzie. Tandem does not complete work on one project before they start another because this way, they get more money (5% for each restoration over $10,000). We've spent lots of money on lawyers. We've sued Tandem twice for violating the Davis Stirling Act and have won both times. That should prove how bad they are and how they don't comply with the rules.

This company has made my first time as a home owner, miserable. Tandem and their parent company, Lyons, should not be in business. If they don't feel like responding, they just won't. Sent countless emails and left countless voice messages and have not heard a word back. I also think they must have a standard book of excuses and replies sitting by the phone, because when they actually do answer, which is rare, they have a false excuse for literally everything.
I lost the sale of my property due to their incompetence. I am so grateful the current board did their research and got rid of them ASAP. Very disappointing company and it is amazing they are still in business. Would not recommend.

Tandem took over our mobile home park, and have treated us like renters for over a year now. The homes and land are owned by the residents. Suzie meddles in every aspect of our social lives, and homeowners can do nothing unless Suzie gives the OK.
Do not even consider this management company or you will regret it.

Exceptionally unprofessional and dismissive! In an HOA meeting, they accused me of lying about information given by their own representative. Beware of the control they attempt to exhibit an they are unethical and dishonest!
Transparency is the opposite of what you can expect when it comes to any and ALL financial dealings. Their questionable accounting practices apply to their own bookkeeping as well as associations.

Before I purchase my mortgage, I called to ask questions about which utilities I have to start myself, and what is included in HOA. They don't have an answer for it. After I moved in, there was no information whatsoever sent to me to explain how it works and what forms I have to fill. They only send a bill to pay HOA fee.
