I unfortunately lived at Martinique Terrace from 2021-2023. This management company couldn’t care less about the shape their apartment complexes are in, just about taking the rent. When they don’t like you, they send out false emails claiming people are in violation of their lease. The only management company worse than this one is the one who formerly owned Berkeley Commons. Such crappy business ethics. Lining their pockets with tenants rent money and putting nothing back into the complexes they own. It’s abhorrent!

I wanted to share an important experience for anyone considering a living facility for their parents or loved ones. My father has been a resident at Reflections for 10 years. Recently, due to health issues, he will need to transition to an assisted living facility as medically required.

I reached out to Reflections to discuss his transition, and the manager worked diligently to explore options that could benefit everyone involved. However, the management company showed no willingness to compromise, instead requiring nearly $5,000 to release us from the apartment obligations.

This has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve faced as a family, made even more difficult by the apparent lack of empathy and prioritization of profits over people. I hope sharing this helps others navigate similar situations with better understanding and foresight.

Since i have moved in here my air doesn’t work ! I put a maintenance request in on March 11th. The first maintenance man told me that it had to be at least 70 degrees outside for him to fix it . I put another request in the beginning of April ! It never got fixed and we had plenty of 70 to 80 degrees days . I called the office and was told they we currently didn’t have a maintenance man but once we do I’ll be on the top to get my air fixed . So weeks go by and nothing but yet i see we have another maintenance man. I call the office this past Monday very upset and wanting my air fixed . It’s hot ! My twins have asthma ..i even have a doctor note that requires they have air at all times . Do you think they care lol ? Nope they don’t . After deciding that we want to break the lease , they made a call and maintenance came the same day to fix it but guess what it’s only been three days and now my air isn’t working again . At this point Im looking into the next steps . I highly recommend to not move here ! Go anywhere else but here ! I should of listened to the reviews .They want rent but can’t even fix the issue I’m having. This is not somewhere to call home!!! Oh yea and don’t bother contacting corporate. She never return any calls ! This is the worst company ever !!! Very sad !!!!

To add on to this post . Today is 8/17 . There was a leak in my kitchen outlet back in April . First off nobody responded to the emergency call until 5am . I heard the property manager say the on call person just didn’t answer but we are in August and my wall isn’t fix. The leasing agents are useless. They will tell
You one thing and then the next week act like they never talked to you . My lease is almost up and i cannot wait ! Definitely some slumlords

The worst management company I seen. Their apartments have a lot of issues regarding your health. I’ve been trying to reach corporate and have not been able to reach them or get a call back. If u could give the a ZERO I would!

For over 8months I have been hearing an animal in my ceiling! I have addressed it with management and they put up a trap n that was it! I started to get brown urine staines in my ceiling with a foul smell. I reported it to the office n it took them 4 months to look into it. Once the did they did nothing until I called the health department. After that they decided to come m paint over it like that would solve the issue. But it didn’t it! I still hear something scratching my ceiling everyday and now I have more stains in my ceiling as of 12/1/19! Again contact office via face to face. I was told it’s not a raccoon I’m hearing it could be a squirrel. My respond whatever it is has been there over 8 months n been peeing in the ceiling. I asked if they could call pets control because their traps are not working. And if they don’t fix the roof or holes throughout the building than the issue would never be fixed. I was told the building are old n yes they are but nobody should have to live with animals in their ceiling PERIOD! Not only that have a disable child who has a serious health condition and I will not keep letting this go on! Corporate office has not reach back out. If I were you Don’t Move Here! Trust me when I say everyone in my building that lives upstairs are having same issues n nothing is been Done! Which is SAD because they wouldn’t want to live like that!!!!!!! I’ll give them a ZERO!

I highly recommend looking into who owns your future apartment complex/housing unit before renting - and if it is Muesing Management - RUN.
Karen, who is apparently the only person who can handle apartment management is AWFUL. My apartment living experience has been pure hell for the past 3 years yet she refuses to let me out of my lease contract. A neighbor however, was just let out of their lease for the exact same reasons as mine. CRAZY.
Chateau in the Woods is disgusting. FILLED with roaches and CRIME. When the management office can't help you, they unfortunately send you to Karen. She does nothing. I have had personal items stolen, fumes seeping into my apartment (without construction notice) roaches everywhere, bug, clogs, leaks, crazy neighbors and attempted break ins - yet they DO NOTHING. DO NOT move here. You will regret it. Over the 3 years I have had to move out of my apartment for a total of 8 months due to issues with the complex. NOT ONE TIME has management or Karen offered help or compensation. Just overall awful people and experience.

The company is terrible. Never in my life have I encountered such an unprofessional and non-accommodating company. This is now my second time in a less than a year where, I’ve had to reach out to this corporation and they have done nothing to assist me. This company does not care about their occupants and they continue to make excuses for their wrong-doings. I wouldn’t recommend staying at any of their properties.

Worse experience ever! Took over tree weeks to have my toilet snaked. It was only done after I fell and sprang my ankle coming downstairs to use the restroom. Im sure they're waiting to see if I have contacted an attorney and of course I have. The property manager has no clue what goes on. She told me herself that she had not been made aware of any issue, but she wasted no time bringing me into court once the rent was late. I lost my job due to being off because of my ankle. The office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Being a leasing agent at one time I can not believe that a company would allow such disrespect and lack of professionalism. I will never recommend the company or any of the properties to anyone that I know. If you're thinking of Muesing Properties, think again. Read the reviews. Talk to some of the current residents. Stay away from Woods of Castleton!!!!! The one star is only because I like my apartment only hate that Glick sold it.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I live in Martinique Terrace Apartments and this is the WORST place to live. I wish i would have read reviews before i moved in 3 years ago but i was young and naive. The management sucks and do not care at all about their tenants. I had MULTIPLE leaks from the water heater which soaked my carpets and all they did was stick a large bowl under the water drips to catch it. It took me to call about the issue 4 times before it was “properly” handled. There were multiple over flows from the apartment above which caused severe water damage to the ceiling and even had parts of my Ceiling fall through! You should see the patch job they did! Absolutely horrible. I had to live with a gaping hole in my ceiling for a week while all my furniture was pushed to one side of the room which didn’t allow me or my toddler to even hang out in the main living area... forcing my one year old to hang out in a bedroom all day. Did they care or offer any accommodations? Nope. Black mold all in the bathroom. Called about that on more than 3 occasions and NO ONE EVER CAME OUT. Thankfully we found a beautiful home to rent 2 weeks before our lease was up so we booked it. I still paid the full months rent for March, we just moved our belongings to the new house. We had a few things left in the apartment so we went back once last week to get them and what do we find? Pee that hadn’t been flushed along with cigarette butts laying around. Mind you, no one in my household smokes and we also cleaned the apartment top to bottom including toilets before we moved. The apartment was also locked when we went back to get out left over things which means whoever was in there HAS A KEY. Aka MAINTENANCE. Since they knew we were no longer living there, they were using our apartment which was still in MY name as their little hide out while working. I addressed this with the office manager and she did nothing. Useless. Well guess what? We went back to the apartment today (lease ends tmrw) just to do one last check and THERE WERE MORE CIGARETTES AND PEE IN THE TOILET!!! Mind you, we cleaned up after the FIRST incident. The apartment smells of urine because it’s just been sitting in the toilets. It’s absolutely disgusting and not to mention ILLEGAL for them to be in MY apartment especially since i never gave them permission to enter regardless if I am staying there or not. Them being in there is just asking for damages to be caused that’ll be pinned on me. I AM DISGUSTED by the unprofessionalism and carelessness of these nasty property owners.
