After applying for a home and getting exited and pretty much getting accepted, we were told they require pet insurance for pets. On top of the $300 deposit you have to pay for each pet. (Which we didn’t mind paying the deposit) Considering the fact my dog is 10 years old and literally dying this wasn’t going to be an option for us. I also work in an animal hospital and have for years. It was sad there was no way around it. The house we were interested in was listed $100 less than what it actually was and they said it was a typo. It was more of an issue with the owner of the house and not the company I’m assuming. It’s just really sad. I’ve never had to deal with something like this in the past. The company itself was decent though, wish things could have been different.

My mother and I have been lucky enough to use House Hunters throughout most of our rentals while living in Florida. Karen has been our property manager now for 2 different properties in excess of 7 years of renting and she has been beyond wonderful. I couldn’t say any kinder words about her! She has done everything in a very timely manner when ever we had an issue. She is always there to help and is a very understanding person when it comes to real life problems and doesn’t resort to evicting someone when life hits you hard. She does her absolute best to work with you and come to a solution. Yet again thank you House Hunters and even more importantly thank you Karen for such a wonderful renting experience!

Karen from House Hunters Property has taken care of our brand new home/investment property for 14 years. We went for a visit this year for the first time because we will retire finally to the home that we entrusted with Karen. Because we lived and worked in New Jersey, Karen was totally in charge of caring for our home. What we saw made us so happy! Excellent, sweet tenants that lovingly took care of our home. I’ve had HOUSE HUNTERS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT managing my PROPERTIES for 10 years and still have them. They are very professional and honest. Keeping our rentals in top shape is a high priority for them. They are quick to respond to any repairs that are brought to their attention. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the rental business.

They are quick to provide service, however like ALL PM Companies they DO NOT MAINTAIN the property rented. Instead they wait until something breaks, renter calls they come and repair. They will keep all or a portion of your security deposit on bogus claims that are not major damages to the property. Example: 16 year old A/C replaced, 16 year old refrigerator replaced. 16 year old stove not replaced but claimed as damages toward reduction of SD. Please beware renters have little to no say on property they rent even when returned in near immaculate condition. There were some Florida State violations which state what portion of security deposit can be withheld, greed is a factor, contesting such adds frustration and aggravation. Everybody is out for a buck. $375!!!! for cleaning a 16 year old stove that had a RUSTY oven when we moved in 2 years ago. This is the FIRST TIME our ENTIRE SD was not returned to me. All renters know PM Companies do not maintain property they wait for breakage, then blame renters. What is considered "damages" to property? That is easily defined by the owner or PM. For which a hold or reduction of the SD may be justified, beyond normal wear and tear or usage. When a 16 year old light/fan chain breaks is that damage? Should a renter be charged? A door stopper falls off, is that damage? Nit Picking all around, unjustified reduction of the SD. We are senior citizens, on a fixed with little to no income, and are given no respect. Thank you good bye. Comments from the owner are very much exaggerated when i moved in there was no salt in the water tank it was rusted trash in buckets on the outside the garage was full of handy man debris, yet they insist when you MOVE OUT every thing should be pristine, its all to TAKE YOUR MONEY.
