Review of Jackie Guilfucci at Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (IESBDC):

My experience with Jackie Guilfucci at the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center was regrettably disappointing. Despite seeking assistance with business finances, I found her support to be lacking.

Consistency in appointments proved to be a significant challenge, as she frequently missed scheduled meetings. This lack of punctuality and follow-through left me feeling undervalued and disregarded.

As a veteran business owner, I had hoped for a more reliable and supportive resource. However, Jackie's unresponsiveness to emails and inability to honor set appointments undermined any potential assistance she could have provided.

In light of these shortcomings, I advise caution when considering Jackie Guilfucci's services and suggest exploring alternative resources for more effective support.

This is what our tax dollars go to and why there are always billions of dollars of unclaimed grants every year!

Me:
Good evening Robert,
So things are a bit rough out there. I have my lender friend work on the ADU and investment properties but as for grants and government loans it seems like they require you to be a business. So attached is something that I was trying to work on with my church family that kept falling through because of finances and people not really wanting to help others. Maybe we can do something with this? Thank you so much again for your time and consideration!

Them:
Good morning!

These 2 documents appear to be the same thing. It is not a business plan necessarily, but moreover a concept piece and discussion of business in general.

I am unclear as to what you mean by ‘…do something with this”. There is a lot of reference to non-profits, which would take SBA-guaranteed loans out of the equation. But as I mentioned the other day, a bank could still decide to lend to a non-profit at the bank’s own discretion.

It actually looks like there are many different businesses discussed in the document, each one with its own startup costs and licensing requirements. The different businesses mentioned do not have to be non-profits, however, and generally are run as for-profit businesses. In fact, they may not be able to get non-profit status as it is.

Best regards,

Me:
The business is the nonprofit outreach center. The outreach center will then assist the creation of multiple small businesses in my community by allocating funds through grants, fund raising, and volunteer work essentially doing what I believed your company did when I first contacted you. I am regretfully starting to understand now that your company only helps the rich and powerful and does not actually provide to the ones who your business was created to help. Please correct me if I am wrong. As for my business plan, I know that it is flawed and incomplete, that’s why I came to you for help. If you and your company are here to help please respond otherwise I hope you have a great life.

End

Not to mention that this conversation came after I was already turned down for trying to create a company that would create Section 8 housing, something that is desperately needed in SoCal and also being turned down for grants found on US Grants website because guess what? I’m not a business or nonprofit …. Thanks for nothing guys!

Update:
Good evening Robert,
Please stop calling me. I don’t appreciate being talked over, talked down to and lied to. If you wish to do your job please contact me through email so that I have a written record of what’s being said otherwise please turn me over to a consultant that actually wants to do their job. Thank you!
