Gerald & Anton were our movers, I heard of them all my life but I did not know if they were in Fresno but they are. They loaded our four bedroom plus library home in two hours! They unloaded it into our new home also in two hours!! They padded our brick steps so there was no damage. We did have everything packed and organized, but they really flew through the job. They were professional but still human enough to joke with us. We tell everyone: If you have to move, call Starving Students.You could not get a better, faster, more efficient, more reliable job anywhere else. I had 30 years of tea set collections, and we had 21 book shelves of books. The only damage (not their fault) was a cheap press-board shelf with balsa wood pegs, that I was able to nail back together better than it was. Not one chip or break in all that china and crystal. I can not say enough about the great job they did.

Over a year ago, I used the Starving Students Movers' services to move my items and furniture from one apartment another several blacks up the street. They arrived on time to expedite the packing of boxes, with a thorough understanding of my and their expectations.
Thet wasted no time getting started by having an organized plan to adhere to our prescribed moving time. They had some appropriate boxes, hanging utensils for clothes, and protective coverings for the many artworks.
With my not having to intercede, the movers effectively packed the many items with care. Before I knew it, they were ready to transport the boxes and furniture to the huge van. The moving distance to the new building was seven blacks.
After beginning to move the furniture at the new place, the movers used the larger elevator. There were no problems.
I am pleased about choosing Starving Students.

Worst experience moving EVER!
Cost me a fortune when all was done. My move took 2 days from Modesto to Stockton because the crew never showed up and they had to scramble to find a new crew. By the time they came and loaded the truck it was almost night. We arrived to the destination after 9pm, and they proceeded to tell me they couldn't unload till the next day because they can't work past 10pm. They at least unloaded my bed so I could sleep. I was charged over $2000 to move to an apartment. Never rely on them!!

Using Starving Students turned out to be much more expensive than advertised. My son used them to move and ended up losing two of my handguns and five hundred dollars in cash. When he contacted them about them being stolen, he was informed that they were lost, not stolen. My son than ask about making a claim for lost merchandise and he was informed that the policy did not cover stolen merchandise, which in our view was an admission to theft. Unfortunately I did not have the serial numbers (stupid on my part). I highly recommend Stealing, opps, Starving Students and hope we have bought them a couple of meals.

They screwed my mother in law out of thousands of dollars gouged her furniture and wouldn't even take responsibility for the broken stuff she is elderly and shame on starving students for taking advantage of someone her age
