Horrible processes, maintenance department are very condescending (Tracy and Tiffany). There is no sense of urgency and everytime I submit a request to get something fix Tiffany keeps telling me the house is rented “as is”. Anytime the rhetoric regarding the condition of the house is explained to be rented “as is” pretty much means they do not want to put any money into it. House was infested with rodents, bugs, and was severely dirty inside and out. Appliances are swapped out through Big Dons appliance store which don’t have the cleanest and nicest appliances. The stove did not have a door handle and the fridge does not keep items cool and it went out the other day and I told alpine about it and they said they submitted a maintenance request. So they are the middle man. I was told they do not let people out the lease which is crazy because if the tenant broke their part of the contract (lease) they would get evicted but since the landlord broke their part of the lease, they do not want to take accountability and make things right. Don’t waste your money or time with these capitalist slum lord's.

Put an application in pay the application fee was told I have five business days to submit my check stubs the day of the fifth day because I work two jobs so I stay busy. They sent me an email 9 o’clock in the morning even though I paid the application fee at 3 o’clock in the afternoon Saying that my application was denied due to check stubs sent my check stubs in an hour after they told me that and I still got denied this company is a highway robbery. If you’re better off going through someone else, please do it because they will just keep your money . Ps this is the right company

I haven't had a problem with them at all despite the reviews. The on call services were good, the staff in the office were nice. I paid on time if not before time. Cleaned up before I moved out I had no issues. A lot of the houses have a few functional issues like a 4 bedroom house with 1 bathroom which is pretty dumb in 2022, but they don't control that, that's the owner of the lands fault Alpine just manages the property for the people who don't want to update the homes. As long as you keep the place up and remember you are renting and not owning the home, take care of it just like you would a rental car, then you won't have any issues with them. I rented from them for 2 years until I was able to buy my own home and made sure I left on good terms just in case I ever had to utilize them again.

Honestly I’m surprised by the other reviews I’ve read, especially in regards to the application process. They don’t make money off your application fees. They give you a web address to follow the status of your application. Once you’re approved, you can schedule a showing for any property. From the time of my application to signing the lease was less than 4 days. The employees have all been extremely nice and helpful. I’ve had nothing but a great experience so far. I’ve been at the house for 2 weeks. I’ve rented from 3 other well known companies in Indianapolis with much higher ratings, and the experiences I had with them were much worse compared to what I’ve had with Alpine so far. I look forward to renting from them for a long time to come, and will update my review as I’ve lived here longer to talk more about my experience!

Update: Emergency maintenance phone line appears to be one person answering literally everything It’ll be about 12-24 hours before you hear back for issues ranging from no running water for 3 days to security alarm armed and going off for 3 days, and it’s always the same person calling back. She seems like she’s got a rough job.

I rented with Alpine for 3 years. This was by far the worst company to ever do business. The houses are cheap because they are old and not well maintained, mostly in bad neighborhoods so they can take advantage of the less fortunate. When it came time to move out, Heather at Alpine was very unprofessional and when I asked about my deposit she gave conflicting information based on the inspectors report and the email he had sent to myself. Heather disregarded everything I had to say. I moved out the end of February and have yet to receive the remaining deposit as Heather stated it has been in the mail since March 6th when the CFO Beth stated it had not. Here it is the 28th of March and nothing. I didn't receive one once of respect or an apology for the inconvenience. I have reported Alpine to the Better Business Bureau and will continue to spread the word...DO NOT RENT FROM ALPINE!

It is impossible to get approved through alpine! The only reason the denied my boyfriend and I was because we paid less at our previous house than the rent at the house we were trying to get! Like seriously?!?! We make more than 3 times the amount of the rent ...u literally had no reason to deny us. So u created one! This is why the less fortunate homes, sit on the market for so long!
Then on top of everything you can not call to speak with anyone! Seriously they day the only people that will have somone contact them are the ones with pre approval 🙄 well what if I'm in a different situation but I still make good money ? If there was someone I could just speak to I feel like I would get a lot further. Needless to say we were denied and got nowhere all because I used to pay $500 in rent and I was renting a room and I'm trying to get my own home now the home I was trying to get was only $875 a month and I make $40,000 a year ... it just doesn't make sense to deny us! I would ask how you make your money Alpine, but I already know. Its from all of the people putting in applications! $100 for free, is pretty nice! Alpine gets that each and every time someone applies, wanting to get pre-approved. Also, you cannot even look at a house, unless you're pre-approved. It's ridiculously difficult to get pre-approval!

I've been renting from alpine for a year and half now, I've only had positive experiences with them. The twontimes I've needed something fixed or taken care of, they had someone out very quick. I would recommend them to friends or family without thinking twice about it.

The people that I've had contact with have been friendly, honest and professional.

Reading some of the reviews its like we are two different companies. I can't speak for Alpine or those leaving the reviews, but people and companies can and do change, for the better or the worse.

All in all, I've been quite happy with them and I'm sure it will continue. 👍👍

Don’t recommend, paid the fee and heard back 2 weeks later. Got denied even though i applied for the cheapest, ugliest house thats been on the market for over 60 days. I don’t have credit, but i do have a great record of always paying on time. And make 4X the amount of the property.
