The management of 520 Clarkson Avenue has been a home owners worst nightmare!! These people are filthy and caused my beautiful neighborhood to be infested with RATS. I am working with my local politicians to get them held accountable for RAT damages caused by poor handling of garbage. These people do not CARE about the community they serve. Please see pics

If I could select zero stars, I would. I moved out and was told I would be receiving my deposit back via mail and never received it. I repeatedly called, no answer. I emailed Kayla, Wendy, and the property manager Royce about the missing deposit and no answer. Extremely unprofessional and scammers. Please take my advice and stay far away.

Really strange experience speaking to and renting through this place.

They wanted to send a plumber to my apartment and contacted my emergency contact instead of reaching out to me or my roommate first.

I was shouted at, hung up on, and told to calm down, because I speak clearly and directly.

Seems completely incompetent to contact my emergency contact to get a plumber into the building.

This is a terrible management company. Complaints go unanswered. They are racially biased. I was given a noise complaint when I first moved into my condominium in regards to my daughter crying. She was 3 months old and I was given a $500 fine for noise. When asked what did they want me to do put a muzzle on my newborn the complaint was removed. My ceiling caved in due to a leak that left mold in my condo and it took 2 years to fix. My daughter developed asthma from the mold accumulation. My pipe in the wall behind my shower burst. I had to call my own plumber to shut off the water. Pure incompetence. They ruined my bathroom and the floors around my bathroom. I paid for all repairs without reimbursement including the pipes which is not my responsibility. Rick Manero the head of management never responds and the whole staff is nasty and rude. I do not recommend buying anything that’s associated with this management company. Many other incidents not enough time nor space.

So far so good, though I'm disturbed to read the reviews posted 5 days ago and a month ago. I was in the office Friday and am signing a new lease with BPC. So far they have been patient, kind, and helpful. Lou and Kayla are professionals. BPC took over my building in a court-appointed receivership after the owner stopped paying his mortgage (we all paid him our rent, not sure what he was doing with the funds) for 2.5 years. Fingers crossed everything continues going smoothly!

Beware of this guys, they're scammers, they cajole you or make you pay for deposit and never refund you the deposit, you keep calling them for your deposit, they pick once and flag your number in a bid not to refund your deposit, they are racists too. When I have the time I will report them to the city, they and the landlords behave like God's and they won't refund your deposits. They are inconsiderate towards black people too, they set up rules that are inconvenient for other races. Something that only suits their narratives. Apparently we were told to speak to wendy, Wendy spoke to us once and never pick our calls again. That's their own way of taking people's deposit away from them. Talk about scamming under the table. As a tenant, you cannot use their halls for your child's bday celebration, but if you bring people to the house to celebrate, they'll fine you 500$ for bringing crowd to the apartment. But they won't let you use the apartment hall. The worse Real Estate Building Mgt on NYC. Stay away from them.

They do get the job done, but than again - it is expected. Their website is absolutely horrible. They take anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks to cash the check, so be careful with your balance estimations, never know how long the check you send them will be just sitting there.
And the person who answers their phone is THE MOST RUDE person I have ever dealt with. And dealing with rude people is literally my job.

Our coop has found BPC to be knowlegeable and responsive. The staff is always courteous, kind, and helpful. They have managed our building for over five years.
