Ms. Bredenberg is such a kind, helpful, and knowledgeable counselor and I am so grateful to have been able to work with her. Several times throughout high school I found it necessary to mold my own path by taking classes online or through community college, and Ms. Bredenberg always worked with me so that I could take the classes I wanted while still preparing for college and getting the credits I needed. It was very stressful trying to figure out everything for our daughter and what was best for her future. We made the best decision hiring Mrs, Bredenberg! Ms. Bredenberg knows what colleges care about as well as what they don’t, so her students are able to put more energy into what they can control. She works harder for her students than seems possible, and she fosters relationships from a place of empathy. The college application process is incredibly overwhelming and intimidating. It is easy to feel a lot of anxiety and self doubt through the process, but Ms. Bredenberg provides guidance and comfort that minimize many of these negative feelings. Ms. Bredenberg provides practical advice, quality resources, and warm encouragement. She truly cares about each student she works with and does everything in her power to help them be successful. I told Ms. Bredenberg that I wanted to try to get the Boettcher Scholarship my freshman year of high school. A lot of counselors would have encouraged me to be cautious and not to get my hopes up, but Ms. Bredenberg immediately started working with me on a plan. She believed in me from the very beginning and always steered me in the right direction. Not only does Ms. Bredenberg provide services that will aid students in achieving their goals, she also prioritizes their mental health first and foremost. She helped me prioritize the activities I participated in and the classes I wanted to take so that I didn't experience burnout. Ms. Bredenberg was my greatest cheerleader through my college and scholarship application process. I wouldn't be where I am today without her and I have complete confidence that she will have a similar impact on each student she works with in the near and distant future.
