This place is a joke and anyone that pays them 75 dollars before viewing a place is a joke also. I cannot believe they expect people to do this. AI am not desperate or dumb. This should be illegal and probably is because what if the property looks like crap and now they just have a free 75 bucks.

Had a tree fall in my backyard from high wind. Reported to maintenance and had someone out within 2hrs to get quote and schedule removal of the tree. Definitely recommend Dorfman Property Management for excellent response times on maintenance!

My mom applied to get a home with 650-700 credit score, made 3.5 times the income needed, no criminal background and doesn’t owe anybody any money and paid $75 for app fee just for them to deny her application with no reason why! I hate scamming rental companies who just get you in there and take your app then deny you with no explanation! My mom works hard for everything she has like everyone else and to be denied for no reason is insane! I’ll tell anyone applying here do not apply here because they’ll just take your money and deny you for no reason! I should’ve told her not to apply seeing they are 2 stars and so many bad reviews and i just gave them another 😡

Anytime Dorfman Property is picked to be our landlord, I know there is going to be a problem with them fixing maintenance requests because they are almost always trying to make you pay for it. We are not home owners, we rent. We had an issue close to the end of last year with our toilet. I called in the work order to let them know the toilet was not flushing, almost like it was clogged up, and plunging did not help. The lady took down the work order wrong and said the handle was broke. They tried to charge me for that because they said that I told them wrong, but that wasn't the case. I know the difference between a clogged toilet and a broken handle. When I told her that I wasn't going to pay for something that I didn't say, she began to get irate with me and say that I was gonna pay this money...before she could finish, I hung up. How rude and unprofessional she was. She also said that the person who called in the work order was different than the person who was here when the maintenance guy came out. Unless I have an identical twin I don't know about, that part was also untrue. I feel like she was just trying to cover her tracks. I end up talking to the manager, she was just as rude. I know they are probably friends, but you still have to keep it professional. She started getting loud saying I lied on her about something as well. It can't be as well, because I have to had told a lie already for there to be another one. That let me know that she didn't believe me before I spoke with her because her friend that took the work order had already talked to her about the situation. They talked to me like they were doing me a favor by telling me, "We are not going to charge you this time, but next time make sure you say the right thing." Really!!! They didn't apologize for any of their wrong doing. I've read a lot of their responses on these reviews, and I see that they don't takes responsibility for anything. It's like nothing is their fault. I recently called about the heat acting up, and the first thing she said was, "You know if they don't find anything wrong, we are going to have to charge you for the service." Here we go again!!! Why is that the first thing you have to say about the work order once you get my name and address when you realize who I am? I shouldn't be afraid to call in a work order because of their threats to charge us. I felt like that was said to let me know they are going to make it seem like nothing is wrong with the heat and try to charge us because they don't want to do their job or pay someone to do it, so they try to make us pay for it. My Mother is bed bound and I don't want her to catch pneumonia with the heat not coming on in the middle of the night. I would give them a -5 if I could!!!

I doubted the reviews at first but This is probably the best company I’ve EVER rented from ! They are very timely and communicate so well ! Drew , Lisa and Rhonda definitely are the best ! They are quick about maintenance issues . I just signed another years lease 🥳🥳

I was a tenant with Dorfman Property Management for 10 years. I rented a beautiful 2 story home in Noblesville; I can't express how much I appreciate the ease of working with Dorfman over the years. I didn't have a lot of issues that I had to deal with in my home, but when I did, they were fast, thorough and always on top of helping me get any issues the home had, resolved. When I had to move, at the end of my lease, it was only because I was downsizing my living space; I gave them more than enough notice, and they were extremely kind and courteous through the entire process of moving. I received my entire deposit back, 3 weeks before the 45 days they have to return it; per the lease agreement, with a beautiful note, expressing how much they had appreciated my tenancy and the way I had loved and cared for the home over the last 10 years. That meant so much to me; there is respect, in my opinion, when respect and consideration are given on both parts; that is all I've ever received from them and that was what I gave in return. My experience was exemplary, otherwise, I wouldn't have stayed there for a decade. The rent was very controlled and only raised $185 over 10 years and that was in tiny increments. I would rent from them again in a heartbeat, I would recommend them to anyone, especially in Hamilton County, they do an amazing job taking care of the properties, and they greatly appreciate tenants that do the same! ! Thank your Dorfman Property for giving me and my family, a beautiful experience over the last decade, I will greatly miss our home!
