Promised to be able to refund if I withdraw within 21 days of course start, I sent multiple emails for withdrawal even before course start and no replies at all. They purposely ghosted me so that I can’t refund. Emeritus team, if I do not receive any contact or email to process my refund request I will dispute the transaction, file a complain, and send you a legal notice. To all who are considering, please do not enroll in this shady institution

It is ridiculous how much these Sales people spam you. A sales rep wasted thirty minutes of my time reading verbatim the program brochure, and could not answer a single question on the program for me. I told these guys I wasn’t interested in moving forward and they proceeded to spam me over email and the phone for months after with the same, canned sales pitch.

Very bad response from support team. No one from Emeritus, attends the call when we try to reach out or reply to our emails. So I came directly to office and found the office was empty. Better to take courses directly with the University, not through Emeritus.

Not recommended. Dont waste your money.
Just completed my course (Jul 2024).

The company is milking what it can from videos made for previous batches.

They created discussion boards for group learning but its also a way to say, they are not going to answer your questions.

Training videos have been reused for many years. "solution" videos provided addresses different questions than what is the assignment.

They advertised qualified lecturers for whom I saw them once out of 12 weeks course. Most of the time its a program lead who is lesser qualified.

After I finished my course, they sent me a congrats email without any certification. They said it is in junk mail, but I checked, not received. So I sent email several time and they just did not respond. What is the use of the course if I could not receive the cert. if this thing could not be solved, I will officially file a scam report.

Absolute nightmare. They did not issue my certification after graduation. Imagine spending 2k and months on a course and you could not prove it. I was frustrated. Long story short, I only got my certification after one year of trying, with police case report, and writing numerous amount of email begging for it. I reported them under scam when they kept me waiting weeks after weeks and insisted that they have sent it out.

Not a surprise why it gets such a low review now.

I finished 3 courses in the past 2 years from Emeritus platform. Usually, after I downloaded a program brochure online, they kept calling me EVERYDAY until I enrolled the course. That's fine. I do give the credits to the courses per se, which were generally good from the materials and courses conducted by the leading uni or business schools.

Now this is what happened. My last course enrolled back in Nov 2022 was 3600 USD (quite pricy) for a 6-mo study, which was supposed to commence on Dec 22, 2022. However, nothing happened on the day, and NOWHERE to find ANY info of what's going on with the course, neither on website, nor email communications, until I emailed Emeritus support. I was told that due to the holiday seasons, the course was requested by a few students to postpone to be after new year, and even probably only start around in Mar 2023. Excuse me?! Such a lame communication and I've lost my confidence to continue my study journey via this platform, thus I requested a course cancelation and refund by the end of Dec, 2022.

It was agreeable to refund full amount of 3600 USD to me, but I only received around 89% of the original (as it's converted in THB). Despite of the exchange rate loss around 4-5%, there are still 7% ish GONE from the total refund!

Even though I kept asking for more proof, their response is "We are not responsible for the fluctuation in exchange rates that may have increased or decreased the paid amount in present." 7% drop by what? Don't treat users as idiots.

I highly recommend not to use this platform ANYMORE.
Firstly, delays of the course without proper communications. Secondly, lousy operations without correct refund amount even NO proof of refund record can be provided.

I believe there are tons of online academy supporting your continuous study OUTSIDE this Emeritus.

I attended one of the courses. The course content was good, but the support service and admissions help were horrible. I had to put numerous chasers for asking if I can get my batch deferred as I missed 3 weeks' worth of assignments due to a huge workload due to COVID lockdown and work from home.

Rather than responding promptly support routed case to admissions team which never responded. After multiple chasers admissions team came back after 2 weeks with a simple email that they cant defer me to another bach, and suggested I quickly finish 50% of the curriculum to earn the certificate.

The only catch was most assignments were group assignments, and rest everyone passed on those assignments. I admit the content of the course was good, so I liked reading through the material as it is available to me 12 months after the course finishes.

But I might think twice before enrolling with Emeritus, I have done courses from some other platforms and have seen better support.
