3 month review after living in Jameco Park (videos attached).

My husband and I had high hopes for our move to Queens and this building, as this is our last rental before we purchase a home. We had a transparent conversation with Joanne the real estate agent from EXR prior to the move about strictly looking for a quieter building to live in.

Surely enough - we moved to the Jameco Park building and the neighbor adjacent to us is a family that the management is attempting to evict. At all times of day, these tenants scream to the point police are routinely at the building(videos attached). As I now work from home, I cannot hold meetings on zoom because they are screaming all day long. These tenants have trespassed multiple times to our private property, for which the building had to put barbed wire in what is otherwise supposed to be a classy building. Their dog also poops everywhere - including the hallways, as can be seen in the video. The hallway of our floor reeks so immensely of weed and smoke that it vents in to our apartment when we cook. We are constantly inhaling smoke smells and hope a diffuser can be placed into the hallways or better ventilation developed.

Transparency while reviewing the units would have impacted our decision to choose a higher up unit on the 8th floor instead, where there are no voucher tenants assigned.
We hope Jameco Park does something about these tenants because it is unfair that we are living in these circumstances while paying the same rent we were offered to pay for the 8th floor units, where I’m sure there aren’t crazy eviction tenants like this.

I lived in an apartment under their management for three years, but would have moved out sooner if the economy was better. The listing I moved into was misleading. It was listed as a 3 bedroom, but turned out to be only 2. They insisted I incur the cost of putting up a temporary wall to make it a flex 3, even though a 3 bedroom was promised. None of the technology, including the fire alarm or virtual door man ever worked. In fact, half the time tenants couldn't even get into the building. I was frequently woken up in the middle of the night by poorly functioning fire alarms.

As for the security deposit, I had to threaten to take them to court to receive any of it back. Even though it was late, they still only sent a portion, rather than the required full amount.

On top of that, they did arbitrary rent increases that were way too high. Especially for how cheap the construction of the apartment actually was.

Their communication skills are heinous. I have tried to contact them from four different methods. Don't waste your time or money.

We were lucky to work with Frontgate Management for the apartment we rented in Brooklyn. Any time we had a question, they had a quick and helpful answer. Upon move-out, they were very prompt and fair with the deposit refund. During the apartment search phase, their team was personable, timely, accurate and helpful with any questions we had about the apartments we viewed. Thanks Esty and the rest of the Frontgate Team!!

Workers are kind and professional but communication is EXTREMELY poor. This can be more indicative of upper/middle management than it does of the people I've been speaking with.

Have been complaining about construction noise for the weeks on end and have been assured every time that it would end the following day. Obviously this wasn't the case as I wouldn't be writing this review. The people I've spoken to are great and I understand that the company is supposed to mediate communication between the landlord and tenant, but there's a clear breakdown in communication between the two, as I've been getting blatantly incorrect information for weeks.

Be careful working with this company as a tenant.

I lived under this management for over a year, hoping to move back when I returned to the city. I didn't really have to think twice. Their service is very timely and super responsive. I am not even going to mention the tremendous natural light, high ceilings, and great competitive prices in most apartments.
Special shoutout to Mimi. She is fantastic and tries to accommodate my needs and propose the best outcome in any situation. She was supportive throughout the process, and I sincerely appreciate her hard work.

My boyfriend and I have had a great experience with Frontgate ever since we first moved in August of 2021. Mimi has been very helpful, professional and supportive since day one. She is very quick to respond to emails or any concerns. She also emails us every once in a while checking in to see how things are going which we really appreciate. Bonus - they left us a welcome gift when we moved in, as well as some treats for the holidays. It's the little things that add up and we really appreciate their professionalism and kindness. Frontgate management are Frauds the building im staying at in the Bronx doesn’t looks the same when I viewed it online. Online said 2 bedroom roof top Terrace
Also out door candle light with chairs and tables in the that’s a lie. They false advertise just to get people in the building. This building doesn’t have a 2 bedroom. The apartment is small 6/8. Management are rude they speak to you with an attitude they are also racist.
