Worthless, disgusting, middle men. They don’t do anything. They give you the run around on every request. You call them- they don’t answer. You email them- they also don’t answer. You leave a voicemail- they still don’t answer.

Edit two months later: They suck even more now. If you are a renter, I would highly advise not renting if your landlord uses this company. If you can, ask the landlord if they have a rental company. If it's this one, please seek a different renting situation. The 5 star reviews are all by landlords (or bots) who pay these people to do absolutely nothing. I guess if you're a blood sucking landlord, their "services" probably work great; if you're renting class, they are ridiculously useless. I still have to torment my landlord because unexpected fees are applied to my account out of nowhere without specifications for what they are. Maintenance requests go unfulfilled for months. They are truly slumlords who take landlords cash and don't do anything, leaving renters penniless in slum conditions. You'll notice how they NEVER REPLY to low reviews and only reply thanking the landlords for their nice words. That is truly how they view the renters- worthless. I am planning on moving due to how horrible this company is.

These guys so far deserve a zero out of 5 stars. My wife and I came from Raleigh, NC to Austin, TX. We found a nice house that it was listed in the market for about 60 days which already was something strange, Looking more deep into it, price was modified as well. Probably since we are seen a correction on housing renting prices. However we were excited to apply and rent it without knowing what we were getting into. As soon as I got to the house I found so many dead insects, lady bugs everywhere! Dust everwhere, windows shelf and glass dirty as you can´t imagine. At the time we were renting a Pensky truck so we had to return this truck back as soon as possible. At the time of signing the contract we mentioned 3 things: driveway gate needed to be welded back to place and fully functioning, house should be clean up to our arrival, and the AC door should be fixed. All should have been done by december 29th since we were moving in December 30th. Guess what!! NONE of this was done by them. It is January 27th and I am still waiting on them. Not long after we moved in I went ahead and created an list of 19 items with all the things that were wrong. So far they have only take care of 2 out of the 19. They are not willing to work with me at all and we do understand they do not own this property but they are not even saying, "thank you for your information it will be on the records, do not worry." Now they are giving us attitude and saying they will fix none of the issues with this house. They even do not want to reinverse the $300 we spent to clean the house. Some parts of this house are already having mayor damages and I am afraid they will keep my safety deposit just because they feel like it. After readying the huge amount of bad reviews this guys have. Who would not be affraid, right? They are taking advantage of my wife and I, and we will consider bringing a lawyer into this if needed.

I would give zero stars if I could. DO NOT EVER, EVER TRUST THIS COMPANY. Their business plan is clearly to take advantage of naive college students. The unit I rented with them had a cockroach infestation, an ancient oven that didn’t work, no dishwasher or microwave, and a toilet that broke
immediately and spewed water everywhere. The unit had a disgusting smell and was filthy. When I went to them with my complaints, they were condescending, rude, and entirely unhelpful. It took them more than a day to fix the toilet. They denied any cockroach problem, even though it was clearly a huge issue. As I was moving in, my neighbors were moving out - a massive water leak had ruined all of their furniture and items. The rent was $1400 a month, not including utilities. They are scam artists who should pick on someone their own size instead of manipulating and cheating young students for cash. The situation was so bad that I had to scramble to find another living situation. Now my lease is up, they are still charging me rent for a month that I am not legally obligated to pay, and they are conveniently not answering their phones or email to give me a refund. Extremely disappointing.

DO NOT RENT WITH THEM!
Renting a unit at CrestHaus apartments, and from the time of move in I’ve been having to contact management about different mistakes, or a change in what I was told prior to lease signing.
As of recent, when I logged on to pay my rent I find a utility water charge of $247. Before signing the lease I was told water was included in the rent, only to be told a month later that it actually isn’t, that it will be added on at $49 a month, always staying the same, and now after calling to let them know there’s been a mistake with the $247 charge, I’m told they are billing differently now?!!! My lease states that the utility charge is $49, I reached out to them last week, didn’t hear back, but they made sure to add a $100 late fee. Mind you, I still paid my rent, and included the $49 as stated on my lease, but refuse to pay the $247. Someone was suppose to call me back to discuss it, not a surprise I haven’t received that call yet, but I’m sure they will charge me another late fee tomorrow.
On top of all of this the apartment was gross when I moved in, it smells horrible, when moving in I was hoping it was just from the apartment sitting vacant. But no matter how often we open windows, or how many air purifiers we have it’s smells gross, like mold. Our freezer doesn’t stay close, causing our food to constantly thaw, water pressure sucks, no mailboxes, and dealing with roaches. This has been the longest 3 months!!

Update: the water bill situation didn’t get taken care of until I had an attorney reach out, then all of a sudden it’s “ there’s been a mistake”. No one has yet to come check my apartment for mold, still no mail boxes, homeless people moving in near the dumpsters, packages getting stolen, bugs come right throw the cracks in the front door.

I initially was going to write a lengthy review but I’m just gonna keep this short and sweet. This property management company moved me into a house without an electric meter. I didn’t have electricity or AC for over 30 days and by then I decided to break the lease. It also had a rat infestation. Rats destroyed my backpack and pooped all over our furniture. :/

They did give me my money back, but those were actually the worst and most stressful 30 days of my life. I would call their office sobbing, begging anyone to do something or give me an update. But no one really cared unfortunately.

Mirroring countless other reviews, I would give this business a 0 star rating if I could. I don’t ever write reviews but felt compelled to because of the sheer amount of unprofessionalism and dismissiveness that I’ve felt from dealing with the people who work here.

I could go on and on about maintenance requests but the reviews below mine pretty much also sum up my experience. My biggest headache with this company has been everything POST LEASE + getting back our security deposit.

First of all - we were charged rent for an additional month PAST the end of our lease. I called to get the charge taken off before the end of the month and they proceeded to do nothing about it. We forgot to turn autopay off so we ended up getting charged and had to cancel it so we could get our money back. Reached out to the team again, just to be told “you should’ve turned autopay off to begin with. Reach out to your bank to reverse the charge or wait until you get your security deposit” - which is over a month later… over a charge that wasn’t supposed to exist in the first place, which I called beforehand to get taken off. ZERO accountability.

We ended up getting charged an NSF fee for the reversal. I called them to see why, just for them to say, verbatim, “I mean it’s just $40, it’s not something worth starting a fight over at least in MY opinion.” After calling them out on their unprofessionalism, the response was “well that’s your opinion. If that’s all that we have to discuss then I need to run.” Actually laughable - and again, there was zero accountability of course for them not taking that rent charge off our ledger even though I called before the end of the month, and we were never supposed to be charged to begin with. I’ve never dealt with a more incompetent, unprofessional set of human beings lmfao.

4 days prior to the end of the month PAST our lease ending (aka the due date for them to send out our deposit settlement), I randomly got charged a painting touch up fee on the rent payment app… no itemized deduction list, no settlement, just a charge. I emailed them asking where our deposit settlement was (especially seeing as the listing was already up for rent 15 days past our lease ending lol) + reasoning for the charge, and their response, in just 1 sentence, said that I “used the wrong paint color”… Straight up ignoring my second question regarding our deposit settlement.

After this, I had to reach out on 5 more occasions spread across 2 months AFTER our lease ended (email, calls, and texts) in order to get our security deposit settlement. Zero response every time + would decline my calls after 2 rings. Last week I decided to not only involve both the leasing agent as well as the owner of the home into the email chain, but I rightfully informed them that I will be pursuing legal action under Texas Property Code Section 92.103 and 92.109 since they wrongfully withheld our deposit for nearly 50 days past the last day of our lease.

Lo and behold - pretty much all parties immediately responded to my email and they FINALLY got our deposit settlement mailed out. Since the first conversation I’ve had with these boys, I was berated, talked down on, and dismissed. To FINALLY be taken seriously once I put my foot down when it comes to state law is not only tiring due to all the time and energy I’ve spent on this matter but it’s also just demeaning.

I’m glad that it finally got sorted but please just do yourselves a favor and actually take these 1 star reviews for what they are. Do NOT work with or rent from this company. Ran by a bunch of people who, at their big age, don’t understand even the most basic business etiquette or how to run a business… Ridiculous lmfao

This is by far the worst property management company I have dealt with in the past 10 years of renting.

1. Unclean conditions at move-in: The apartment was gross and had cockroaches. It took a certified letter just to get proper pest control, as their initial responses were to send a regular maintenance worker with a spray bottle, which did nothing to resolve the issue.
2. Unstable wifi: I was told the apartment had reliable wifi, but for the first three months, the connection was terrible. It turned out that the wifi infrastructure wasn't sufficient.
3. Poor communication: The management’s communication was consistently poor. They were unable to give clear answers about utilities or deposits, and I had to chase them down repeatedly just to get any response.
4. Move-out charges: Check your lease for clauses regarding move-out cleaning services. My lease required a professional cleaning upon move-out. Despite leaving the apartment spotless and paying over $165 for a professional cleaning service, I was still hit with an additional $150 cleaning fee when my deposit was returned. Management provided no explanation for these extra charges.

had a roof leak for over a year that they refused to fix. cancelled every maintence request. had my bike stolen from here and had a motorcycle have parts stolen off it. when I moved out all of a sudden they were super communicative about what I owed them. they don't care about your living situation and won't fix things even if it's illegal for them to ignore. then will hours for payments. slumlords
