Pretty much all the other reviews are accurate. They do not ever pick up phone for maintenance requests. They don’t email, they don’t return your calls, they don’t care. You solely depend on the landlord and he doesn’t have much support either they don’t even address things he requests. My stove has only 2 burners that work, dishwasher wasn’t working since I moved in for 2.5 years I was calling to get it fixed and it was miraculously recently replaced thanks to the landlord. Other apartments have it worst than me because theirs are older and their floors are entirely messed up, w mold, to the point of collapse and they don’t do anything for years. Older tenants have no choice but to continue to live in unsafe condition because they cannot get the management company to address anything. There is constant leaks and issues on the lower level apts due to them not fixing issues on floors above you until they pretty much COLLAPSE.

Hands down the worst management company with the most disrespectful and unprofessional employees. "Grace Woo" in leasing is the rudest, most defensive customer service representative I've ever experienced. She proceeded to call me this morning on my cell phone and began verbally attacking me for 4 minutes straight because I wrote them a letter disclosing issues that need to be addressed. Rather than being a professional, educated employee, she immediately began saying everything was my fault by defensively yelling "YOU DID x" "YOU DID y" "YOU DID z" ... First of all, I did nothing but send a letter disclosing multiple issues with the leasing company that need to be addressed and their all-around unresponsiveness as a management team. They also do not have an email system so there is no way to have written proof or correspondence with the company. They do this intentionally to avoid responsibility. Well come to find out Grace is personally responsible for a few of the issues in my letter, so rather than fixing them, she decided she was going to personally call me and yell for 4 minutes straight like a child while I had her on speaker in front of 3 other coworkers. I've never spoken to this woman before and they way she yelled at me was beyond unprofessional and harassment. Every time I tried to say anything she would just just yell "OH NO NO" and keep going. I literally just sat there like what the actual hell is this woman thinking calling a customer like this? Some people clearly cannot handle taking responsibility for their own issues and apparently this management firm tolerates their employees picking up the phone and verbally berating customers rather than providing professional resolutions.

Currently renting an apt managed by them. Communicating with them is horrible: THEY REFUSE TO USE EMAIL, and they seldom pick up the phone, so you need to leave a message and cross your fingers. And they only accept checks for paying rent, NO DIRECT DEPOSIT or online payment, which is extremely inconvenient when you are travelling. Granite is living in the XX century... They did a couple of cheap maintenance fixes for me, though (like changing a recessed light).

THE ABSOLUTE WORST. NO ONE should have to be treated the way I have been by Maggie, their maintenance lady. She speaks in a rude and condescending manner. Renting an apartment should be stress free, on the rare occasion you call your management company, one expects to be treated with dignity and respect- not at granite. I CANNOT relive my experience with this vile woman, I hope to God, I do not have any other problem till i leave this establishment.
If you do not like to be disrespected, avoid this company at all costs!!

This company is awful. They do not respond to anything. It has been 3 weeks since my roommates and I have moved out of our apartment and we have not received any information about the security deposit. We put in maintenance requests and they never responded. When I was locked out of the apartment I called them and they told me to contact the landlord that lived in my building. The landlord said that he didn't have a copy of my key and even if he did he would not be able to let me in because he needs verification that I lived at the apartment (my wallet was inside as I was just checking the mail). FDNY turned off our heat in the middle of January for three days because they could not get ahold of the landlord when the carbon monoxide detectors were set off. It doesn't matter what time of day you call them, it will always go to voicemail. I do not recommend renting from Granite International Management.

If I could rate 0 I would. They never treat you the way you deserve. All the bad reviews here are true at all. I don't even have to get into details of how they deal with their tenants.

Absolutely terrible. Completely unresponsive and poorly managed buildings. Avoid at all costs. We regularly had to call 311 to report them and the super along with our noisy neighbors.
