I rented from David Jobes( Jones management), this is a horrible person to deal with.
I have encountered many situations during the time I leased property at 158 Crestwood Dr- Lexington Ky 40503.
This man and the company are very much crooks and like to try and keep peoples money, they do not clean their properties like they insist you clean it on move out.
I would HIGHLY recommend to avoid this company by all means.
I had a lawyer involved to show that jones management, David Jones and all his minions are out to screw you over!
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
I had to put 1- star to post this review-
I rate this company
0 STARS

I have hired a lawyer to obtain paperwork showing the work that was done by jones management-
Unfortunately jones management is use to lying to its tenants.
I’m very disappointed that this man David Jones can operate this way.
I’d suggest not to deal with this person, or anyone involved with jones management group.

Bad people!!!

Definitely the worst landlord I’ve ever had. He told us 3 months before our lease was up ways we could get out of our lease if we were to buy a house, as we were looking to purchase. He emailed us offering us the option to renew a month later and I confirmed if we renewed, we still had the options to get out of the lease if we found a house to buy (3 month buy out, sub leaser, etc.) and he told us those options are off the table. In the first email he asked us to give him an answer by a certain day if we chose to resign. Well I got an email THE SAME DAY saying we had a showing at our house the following week for new tenants. What Not even 24 hours to decide to resign. Fast forward a few emails back and forth, as my husband and I were quite confused why we weren’t allowed even a day to decide, and we still never got an answer why he took back the options to sublease or pay 3 months of rent to get out of the lease and didn’t give us a respectable amount of time to decide on resigning. We said forget it and didn’t want him to pay rent to him anymore and purchased a house, which felt rushed but we do love our house so it’s fine. We paid rent 100% on time, paid a cleaning service at move out to deep clean, paid for carpet cleaning and painting (per our lease), did final walk through and had the approval it was great. Well 30 days later, no sign of our deposit. Mind you we have $1175 in deposit, he asked us to move out 4 days early with promise to prorate, plus $600 in pet deposit. My husband contacted him and he sends us a check for a little over $900 stating the garbage disposal was broken. At one time living there, the motor went out and we filled out a service request to have it repaired or replaced, which was done. Apparently he said it was tenant damage. It worked at move out, repairs while living there is landlord responsibility everywhere else I’ve lived. We weren’t told $170 was coming out of our deposit for it when it was installed. It was shady all around. $80 was taken out for painting (also landlord responsibly everywhere but we were at least told and it was in our lease). So he “forgot” our pet deposit and “forgot” prorated days of our last month. Several weeks of emailing back and forth and we finally get prorated days and what we were owed of pet deposit but never responded or really acknowledged emails regarding disposal. I asked for a receipt saying it was our damage, as the repair guy said the motor went out, never got it. So moral of the story, my husband and I are young professionals, respectful of the house, always paid on time and left the house in excellent condition but David Jones is a con man and will screw people over any chance he can. I used to be a customer at Sound Bar also but since he’s the owner, I will never go there either. Do yourself a favor, save the headaches, and rent from someone else.

Run away as fast as you can! By far the worst experience after 14 years of renting. The house was overpriced and dirty. Communications are only via email so if you have an emergency you're left to your own devices. Appointment that were scheduled were often missed without notice. After we notified we would leave, they sent us prospective tenants non-stop, in one case even without notice. Last but not least, they took a good chunk of our deposit for painting, cleaning the carpet and mowing. Note that upon move-out we signed a checklist stating that everything was left in good condition and that we mowed the lawn two days before inspection! We contacted these folks via email about it and got no reply. So, we're filing a small claims lawsuit against them -maybe we'll finally get to see in court this mysterious landlord, Mr. Jones. Our recommendation: Do NOT rent from the Jones Management Group.

These negative reviews are shocking! We have had nothing but positives while renting with David for going on 3 years now. Anytime we have had an issue it has been resolved within 24 hours. Our A/c went out last year and he had someone over the next day. They had to order the part which took a week to come in so we were without air conditioning for a week last summer, but none of that was his fault at all! He has been a wonderful landlord and I would never rent from anyone else. But we also take care of his property and pay rent on time every month so maybe that's the difference.

The worst landlord ever we moved out June 20 and mowed the yard the 18th and they are charging us 50 for mowing on the 27 after the lease was over and 125 for a ice maker that I told them was messing up over 3 months before the lease was over and a turnover bill when we left the house cleaner then when we got it. It there responsibility to clean it after tenants move and not take the whole deposit. I will never recommend them as landlord to anyone worst business man ever Connie said the place was move in ready in the final walk through.

Worse business man ever. Charged me over for hauling trash which was picked up by the city. Charged me over $200 for touch up paint. Charged me for grass. The kicker is none of this was brought to my attention until 2 months after I started asking for my deposit. When I did my exit walk thru and was told the house was in move in condition. And 2 days after I was gone the house was occupied.
All this was a scam just so he didn't have to give back my deposit. But I am in the process of suing him for his bad business practice.
Stay away from this man and this company. He will rip you off in the end.

One word, crook! I found a perfect house for myself, signed a 12 month lease. Never missed a payment, never caused trouble and then 3 months before my lease was up he sends a electronic lease for another 12 months at a certain rate, he gives you 5 days to sign it or he will start finding another tenant. After a whole lot off issues with maintenance, including me have to threaten using the Landlord Tenant act of KY laws, it took him over 2 and a half months to get me a new dishwasher after it had been giving off a burn smell and leaking all over the place. It took over a week to get a smoke detector. He wants you to use his website to put in maintenance requests, but he says he never gets them and even if he does/ or doesn't you don't get any sort of receipt for you records. I finally had to start emailing him just so I had a time and date stamp of when I put in requests.

To top it all off, after I finally put in my 30 day notice and I find him a new tenant to be nice, he pays me back my charging me $89 for paint and 4 hrs worth of work, even though I was told when I moved out that it looked fine. Over half my deposit was taken because of 4 hrs worth of touch up painting?

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS MAN/COMPANY!!

DO NOT rent from Jones Management Group. My college son and his friends did and made a huge mistake. Out of a $1,350 deposit, they got $571 back. I promise you, the mother’s made sure the house was clean when they moved out but of course, the deductions from the deposit were ridiculous. We even sold the washer and dryer to the new tenants and somehow they went missing between my sons move out and the new tenants move in. Move out and final walk through was May 31st. The new tenants sent a message that they went to look at the house again on June 6th and the washer and dryer were there. They said they moved in on the 14th and they were gone. The new tenants said they contacted David Jones and Connie and was told they didn’t know what he was talking about. We contacted David Jones and he said he didn’t want to be involved. Well when only you and your employees are the only ones that had access from June 6th to June 14th, you are involved. They are going to respond and turn everything back on everyone else but please read the other reviews and run....run away very fast. Also the deck had lots of rot and a board in the middle had rotted completely through and your foot would go into the hole. Jones Management was contacted and he told the four college boys to go to Home Depot and get a board and replace it. Well first of all, that is the landlords responsibility and the boys had no idea or tools to fix it. PLEASE!!! Do not rent from this company, I promise you will regret it. Mr. Jones or Connie, I can’t wait to see your response blaming everyone else and justifying your management. I have lots of emails and the final invoice to prove he is not someone you want to rent from. He makes his money by screwing over college kids and only giving back $571 out of a $1,350 deposit. I was there for move out and I promise you, that house was better than it was at move in. Once again, please read all reviews. It’s very consistent.
