KeyRenter has been the best property management I have experienced in my 5 years of renting. From start to now having someone take over my lease early has been such a smooth process. When I first moved in it was very sudden for me and personal shout out to Justin! He made everything so easy and was so personable and understanding of my situation and made it work for me. I have also worked with Brian as well and both him and Justin are quick to answer any questions and are happy to help in any way they can. The apartment was well taken care of and any time I had a maintenance issue in any way, the issue was addressed the same day. I’m only leaving because I am moving out of state or I would have probably stayed with them for the next 5+ years! Definitely would recommend KeyRenter to anyone!

Keyrenter is a dishonest company that both tenants and landlords should avoid. Near the end of our lease, our landlords signed with Brian and Keyrenter to take over their property management needs. We moved out of the property a month early with the understanding that we would continue to pay rent until a new tenant was found. We just happened to go by the property one day to find new people moving in! Neither we (the legal tenants) nor the owners had been notified of this. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Brian had told these people they could move into our house a week ahead of their lease start date and their rent would not include this extra time. Not only is this generally unethical, it violated terms of our lease and several Kansas rental statues (the law). Consider the potential legal ramifications. What if one of the new tenants got injured by something with the house while my lease was still in effect? If they damaged the property, would I be responsible for repairs? Brian encouraged my landlords to see us as ungrateful for getting out of our lease two weeks early and to refuse to repay our rent from the time the new tenants moved in to the start of their lease. We contacted Keyrenter on many occasions to recoup our rent that we had to pay during the week of another person occupying the property but never got anywhere and finally gave up trying to fix this through their company.
If you are looking at this company from either the property owner side or the tenant side think twice about whether or not you want to tolerate this behavior.
