Because of an error in my tax return, I was charged penalty and interest and a lot of add'l tax money to the IRS. And the Laurie's office is ignoring my request for help to resolve the issue. I has been 6 months since I first contacted Laurie's Bookkeeping about their error that cost me $1600 and still no response from them. I have been working for a year now with IRS to correct Laurie's error and still not resolved. I would never use these people again. This mistake has Absolutely Nothing to do with the State of Colorado. It was a blatant error on my federal income tax...a very obvious mistake. I had to deal with the IRS for almost two year to get it straight, as well as costing me $1600. And Laurie never once responded to my many calls and emails for help. If clients think that Laurie will help with IRS issues, good luck. And Laurie never discussed my return with me prior to sending it to the IRS, so I knew nothing of the mistake till it was too late. Bad business practice all the way around.

Update; Laurie is family to me! She follows up with emails. She checks in periodically and when she is working in my area, stops by. She is a genuine person. She cares about all her clients and that’s worth way more than the fee paid for taxes!

I have been using Laurie to file my taxes for several years now and she always gets me the maximum refund I am entitled to. I used to do my taxes myself using turbo-tax but found I was short changing myself because turbo-tax does not always get the max refund due to not covering all details.
