All these bus drivers need to learn safety driving because the amount of times the bus drivers have made me slam on my breaks because they put themselves first is ridiculous. They don’t check their blind spots nor care that they will turn into the school and block the ENTIRE ROAD because there’s traffic. I obviously don’t slam my horn on them because there are kids on the bus and I don't want to startle them but I can’t feel safe driving to school if I have to worry about bus drivers not caring about other people on the road.

The people that are working for this place from the bus drivers to the people in the office are beyond incompetent, numerous times my children have been late to school due to the negligence of the drivers and staff, they have missed school entirely some days due to the bus never arriving and getting someone on the phone to talk to is non existent. Absolutely insane that these are the people responsible for getting our children to and from school safety.

Inconsistent. No communication. Children waiting for over 45 min for bus that never comes on many occasions. Kids missing classes due to this. Parents are assuming their kids are at school when they are not. They are still at the bus stop well after school as already started. You call the transportation number to see what’s going on and left on hold for over 15 min. Times my child has come home at almost 6 pm (almost 2 whole hours after school is released)because the bus was so full of HS students AND middle schoolers. Kids had to scrunch into seats just to fit. That’s a safety concern. I don’t blame the drivers at all. They are forced to do ridiculous routes at one time on short notice. My son said a different driver was driving the bus and the bus driver was asking kids where they live because he wasn’t even familiar with the route! I’m sure drivers are frustrated and I can see why they can’t keep drivers. It’s just a jumbled mess that is trickling down to other problems. If you can’t provide the services then announce it so people can figure out a more consistent plan as to how their child will get to and back from school. This is beyond ridiculous.

Drivers are amazing, even when short handed and running behind. Wendy, at the transportation dispatch however, is rude everytime I speak with her. I can not call for information on my child's bus without her either acting as though I have inconvenienced her by calling, or hanging up on me entirely which has happened multiple times. Normally the answer I get is simply, "I don't know." Without ever trying to check on anything. On the off chance she does not hang up on me within 2 minutes of me being on hold, she will make sure to leave me on hold for lengthy periods, leading me to believe she never had any intention of looking into my question in the first place. Never a good experience on the phone with her. NEVER. When a parent calls to make sure they know the whereabouts of their child and dispatch has no interest in making sure the children are safe and cared for, it causes panic for the parent. Never a straight answer with her.

Liliana is my son’s bus driver, and I have to say, she is such a kind person! I know I can count on her to pick up my son and drop him off everyday at the same time. She is dependable and forgiving. I wasn’t so kind when I first met her and she was quick to put that aside after I apologized. Leander ISD transportation is very lucky to have her!

I would give 0 if that was an option. My child's grandmother helps me with my son by getting him on the bus in the mornings so I can be at work at a decent hour. This year's bus stop is so far down the road for a kindergartener and a handicapped elder, on a street with no lights, no sidewalks and down a steep hill. Leander Transportation refuses to add a stop at our house for us so I don't have to worry wheather my mother falls, or son gets run over. They rather worry about how many stops are on a route even though whichever way they decide to go. They have to pass our house.

I don’t work there, but my children have attended LISD from 2008 to present, the staff that answer the phones are always amazing and helpful. The bus drivers are a blessing. I’m so thankful for the wonderful people working over there! From preschool, to middle school..school trips, band trips football and wrestling trips... Y’all are the best! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
