Unfortunately, I have to offer up a few warnings about NPTI in this review... NPTI is a 2 Star business with a 5 Star education.. that's why I have given it a 3 star rating..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Chris and Amanda "Yogi" are Amazing instructors, Chris is the Theory Instructor and Yogi is the Practical Instructor. They are kind, caring and patient teachers that genuinely want to help you be the best Personal Trainer that you can be the level of knowledge that they share with you along the way is nothing short of priceless. I am thankful for them and the dedication they showed us. The Network of important relationships with your classmates that are built over the course of the 4.5 months you are there is incredible.

⭐⭐

The Ownership unfortunately is disconnected from the very people that make a sacrifice in their daily lives financially and logistically speaking to attend their school. They seem to treat people as if their another number, just another $8,000+ pay check that just keeps the business flowing so that their incredible instructors can continue to be the Sole reason the business stays a float. This is ironic considering they are a business that promotes starting a business/career in a field that is ALL about Genuinely caring for the individuals that keep your business alive. The owners don't take the time to get to know any of those walking $8k+ paychecks nor do I believe they actually care to.

There seemed to be an extreme lack of understanding and empathy in regards to the commitment and sacrifice that people(especially ones with families) are making to attend a school that requires every bit of your time and energy to complete KNOWING that despite financial aid, VA Benefits, Etc Etc it may or may not be enough to cover your monthly expenses.. (but you're motivated and ready to make a sacrifice because your going to kill it in the fitness field after school) and yes of course... I know... That's not their problem and nor do they have to have empathy.. I was actually brutally reminded by Patty Sherman verbatim that "She wasn't crying me a river" and granted she's right, She definitely doesn't have to... However, a little bit of acknowledgement and empathy for someone that chose to pay $8k+ at Her school would have been nice. Maybe an understanding that being in a classroom 9am-4:30pm (during typical working (family providing) hours) can be burdensome would have been nice. It would have been nice to feel a little more appreciated after dedicating the time to MAKE THE CHOICE TO INVEST IN MYSELF AT THEIR SCHOOL... It's weird to say this... I recommend the Education but NOT the School just based on the customer service of the owner and how they made me feel as a consumer.

WARNING: the policy that they have on missed hours adds up quickly and it costs you some serious money if you are not careful.. My hours missed were unfortunately unexcused in their questionable book of unexcused absences.... A funeral, (an uninsured) health related absence and an unavoidable childcare related absence ALL determined UNEXCUSED and leading me to owing the school an additional 600+ dollars and not giving me my diploma in order to start working in my field. When I tried to gain clarification in regards to the ADDITIONAL fees I owed due to numerous things in LIFE happening outside of the school Patty Sherman was extremely nasty to me. I was shocked. And the irony of that is that I had just convinced a friend of the family that she should attend when She got out of the Marines (another 8k walking) I just pray for the heart of the owners that they reevaluate the way they treat people because the people that make the sacrifice to come to your school are good people and veterans that live to help others.

Coming to this school has opened my eyes entirely to the entire realm of fitness as a whole. The instructors are top of the line and the staff is also always willing to help you with any issues you may have! It’s an amazing learning environment and when you graduate you’ll be able to separate yourself from other trainers in the industry.

WARNING: Patty Sherman overpaid me financial aid, almost 2k dollars over the amount and threatened to kick me out of school if I didn't pay it back by that Friday. Totally understand because it's not my money but you don't have to be so nasty (SHEESH)... (GOOD THING I DIDN'T ASSUME THAT THEY PAID ME THE CORRECT AMOUNT AND SPEND IT)

WARNING: Tuition paid in full.. invested 4 and a half months of my VA education benefits in the school and I was made to feel like I didn't matter.

WARNING: they charge you 15 dollars an hour for every hour you miss and accumulate past 33... Definitely an incentive to keep your students in class and understood BUT THERE ARE THINGS UNAVOIDABLE (especially when you have a family) and if it doesn't it doesn't fit on their list of excused absences you will be charged. So don't think because it's a FUNERAL, VA Appointments/visits, job interviews, unavoidable Childcare mishaps, or personal health related absences you will be excused. So after all of that I now owe 428 dollars in fees in addition to the 200 additional that I already paid NOT TO MENTION PAYING FOR THE AWESOME ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS that they offer there.
.
But hey policy is policy right? I have no one to blame but myself. I should have not gone to the Funeral because they weren't related to me, I should have come to school that week I couldn't walk, I should have brought my 6 year old to school instead of stayed home with him and I should have not went to the job interview because providing for my family is overrated.

WARNING: My class found out we were in class a week longer than we were supposed to be... I believe that's about 35 hours that we didn't have to be there.. so they credited those hours back to us but somehow we aren't compensated for OUR time? That's a week sooner that a lot of us could have been making money in between the typical MONEY MAKING HOURS of 9-5 but we couldn't because our time was wasted at NPTI.. and I owe them 428 dollars based on "policy" of hours missed past 33?.. lol I wish I could make this stuff up.

WARNING: supposed VA advocates but they are holding on to the diploma that I paid for with my VA benefits so that I can't use it to work and provide for my family. Vets are just a walking 8k to Patty Sherman.

FYI: NPTI Merchandise is for sale as you walk in T-SHIRTs, Bags, Hats... Etc Etc... You come in and drop 8k on the course and you don't get as much as a gym towel. Hilarious

It's actually a shame because NPTI alumni and Instructors become a network of friends and family but the ownership unfortunately wants NO part in getting to know the amazing people that go through their business.. which is fine They can continue to hide behind the coat tails of the incredible Instructors that make their business so just give them your 8k and go about your business please and thank you because you're just another 8k. ?
