From applying, to renting to leaving Villas by the Lake. It has been a wonderful experience. Cathy from the leasing office has been extremely helpful. We have had no issues here. Very affordable, no parking fees and there’s always parking. No place is perfect but this place is close to it. The maintenance team is on it, they have a ton of buildings but every request is answered fast and quickly. We loved it here and we will miss living here. 10/5 stars.

I was a tenant of Pace Realty Group for six years. I lived at their Villas By the Lake property. During this time I had very few issues with the apartment. Any maintenance requests were addressed quickly. The maintenance staff and front office were always pleasant to work with. The grounds throughout the apartment are beautiful, well maintained and clean. My building was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. There was always parking available. The location is convenient and safe. I would recommend Pace Realty Group and Villas By the Lake to anyone looking for a new home.

Awful awful place to live. Horrible management who love to ignore complaints from tenants or brush them off. They are awful with turnaround times for requested repairs, they steal security deposits from tenants and heavily discriminate if you are disabled. They will attempt to evict you for service animals despite paperwork for them!! They tried to evict me for a service animal, and then tried to avict me for blantantly easy to disprove lies! All of their facilities are old, dirty, dusty, filled with bugs and spiders and none of their washers or dryers work. Extremely limited parking spaces in which they ignore dangers like children playing in the parking lots. When random children started coming into my apartment without permission, Pace Realty did NOTHING to stop it from happening. They do not care about you as an individual nor do they care about safety, security, comfort or ease of living on their Villas By The Lake campus. Seriously, consider living under a bridge before this place because Pace Realty groups property is by far the WORST apartment I have lived at in Illinois. I have lived in better low income housing in some of the poorest, crime ridden areas and still felt like I had a better experience.

My roommate and I lived at Villas by the Lake for about a year and had a good experience! This place is really one of the more affordable spots in Vernon Hills. There's a huge parking lot on site and plenty of available spots, even for guests! Villas by the Lake is super close to local eateries, shopping centers, and grocery stores.

Pace Realty Group management was always very friendly and professional. They answered our questions and concerns promptly and were always very responsive. Even though our building and unit was on the older side with regular aging wear/tear I found that our building was always well maintained and cleaned regularly.

The maintenance staff is awesome! They are always busy since there are a ton of buildings to service, but after a short wait they always provide top quality service if something breaks or needs fixing.

If my roommate didn't have to move out of state we probably would have lived here for a little while longer!

We lived here from October 2018 - October 2019 and had an excellent experience. As someone else mentioned, then buildings are older, but they are willing to fix anything you're willing to mention. I have a feeling anyone who is experiencing ongoing issues has not contacted the office to try and resolve them. I do agree with some of the reviews that say the hot water CAN take a long time to get to the kitchen sink. Just prepare accordingly and run the water for a couple minutes is you need really hot water there. Every employee was nice and personable, and if we weren't moving in with some friends, we would stay longer with no complaints. Thanks for a great experience!

Apartment wasn't the most updated but I never had issues with management. I received my full security deposit back at the end of my lease. No issues with maintenance either.

Pace helped provide my first apartment with my wife in the summer of 2015. We stayed there happily until February 2020. In the 4 years we were there, they were prompt and easy to talk to when something in the apartment needed repair. Clear communication on what was needed from the tenants in terms of building maintenance. Consistent in pricing, fair/competitive pricing for the area. Great location between Mundelein, Vernon Hills, and Buffalo Grove. Highly recommended for first time renters post-college, they definitely made our first apartment experience feel like a place we could call home!

I’ve lived in a property managed by Pace Realty for two years now. My experience with them has met my expectations in terms of their responsiveness for maintenance related requests and timely cleanliness of the apartment building.

The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating.

My only recommendation would be to have an electronic system in place for paying rent for convenience.
