I can’t say enough good things about this property management company and their plumber, Brian Hatfield. When a waterline burst in our living room today, I called, and they had someone out in less than 20 minutes. Their quick response saved our floors, and the entire process—from the initial call to the clean-up—was handled in such a kind and efficient manner.

The office staff was incredibly helpful, walking me through what steps to take to protect my belongings while we waited for help to arrive. Their clear communication and calm demeanor really made a stressful situation much more manageable.

Brian Hatfield, the plumber they sent, was outstanding. He was not only professional and knowledgeable but also genuinely kind and thoughtful. He helped move furniture to prevent damage, made two trips for parts to ensure the repair was done right, and worked efficiently without cutting corners.

I’m so grateful for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

The unprofessionalism given by their staff is a red flag for any future renters. A concern was brought to their attention the beginning of this month and after weeks of waiting for a response, my niece had to make a call for a follow up. She was greeted with, what can only be described as, hateful behavior by an employee named Danielle. After a few mins on the phone, it was clear that initial concerns were not resolved. When my niece asked Danielle for the contact information for a supervisor to see if the issue could be resolved at the management level, she was refused and spoken to condescendingly. If this is how they are going to treat long term, good standing tenants, then I do not recommend this company to any future renters.

Rent lexington has been the most respectful property management.
The ladies in the office are wonderful to talk to. Everytime.
Anytime I have had to put a work order in, they are there. The maintenance teams ( normally the same folks) are easy to talk to and will work on a good time for both parties. I have no complaints of their work.
The property manager will also call you a day or two to see if the work was done. Never had that before. I love where I am at and I hope the owner does not go with a different management company.

I had a horrible experience renting with Rent Lexington. For months, I did not have hot water, and the issue persisted for so long that I had to file a code violation with the city. The codes officer found several other problems with the property, including a leaning and broken fence. Rather than repair the fence, the unprofessional handyman took the fence down in its entirety. Public records show that property management did not show up to court.
From the time I had moved in, the property was infested with roaches and mice despite my efforts to keep the rental clean. There is a stipulation in the lease that the tenant is responsible for all pest services, so I could not hold the landlord responsible for renting me an infested unit. Additionally, several things were broken upon my move in, including my washing machine (so I couldn’t even wash my bedding), lights, and outlets, and I was not given a shower rod. There were also several “landlord specials” as well, including stick-on white wallpaper on the wooden cabinets. The appliances are also very old and not well maintained. My oven was filthy upon arrival and caused my smoke alarm to go off several times while cooking. The dryer never dried my clothes all the way and took multiple cycles of medium heat to dry even half a load of clothes.
I also had several startling moments in which maintenance would arrive unannounced, not introduce themselves, and either meander around the property or insist on coming in. I was genuinely worried that these strange men (I live alone) were going to do harm to me.
By the time I had moved out, the rental was in terrible shape due to the foundation and structure of the rental itself. There were several cracks in the walls, the aforementioned wallpaper was peeling off of the cabinets, and the ceiling in the bedroom had leaks in several different places. Management did not bother to fix the roof before I moved out. The porch also caused the codes team to have concern as it was unstable and could easily break.
The office team was rarely any help and did little to nothing to absolve my issues. Melissa Hay, Jennifer Hall, and Michael Laychak are the most unprofessional and dishonest people I have met while renting. They do not care about renters, only about making a quick buck, and do not treat their tenants with kindness, respect, or dignity. I attempted to contact Sarah Kraemer, the owner of Rent Lexington, and was met with silence. Do not rent from Rent Lexington. I highly recommend looking up their names and Rent Lexington LLC on the Lexington city government website to see just how negligent they are with their properties.
