This is the worst rental company I have ever lived under. Here are two things I'm dealing with currently that could clue you into not renting from any place that is managed by Renter's Warehouse:
I have had a non-working dryer in my tiny, one room basement since I moved in. I finally asked them to remove it so I could get my own washer/dryer in there. They said they had to contact the owner because it's his dryer. It's been 7 months since I asked them initially. I have asked them at least half a dozen more times about this and they never have any solution. They keep telling me to make another maintenance request for it.
Middle of december we had no heat, called the emergency line and they said they would be in contact with me and let me know if/when someone's coming out. I get a call nearly 12 hours later from the vendor asking me to come to the door because he's been knocking. I told him I was about 30 minutes away at that point but he said he had to leave because no one was at my house. So, I had to call the emergency line again and have them send him out again. Attached to this months rent, I got charged $262.50 for them having to come back out a second time even though it wasn't my fault I wasn't contacted by renter's warehouse for the first visit. They are trying to figure out if I should get that charge reversed. I told them to provide proof that they contacted me because I can provide proof they didn't. Still waiting on a response. This is the kind of place where you seriously question whether or not you should get in contact with a tenant lawyer.

Did a lot of work for RW in the past and as land lord myself this company is not someone you want running your property. It took me two years to collect payment from RW on some stuff and others have gone ignored. Communication between RW and contractor is the worst I’ve seen. Contractors are not valued here. Still haven’t gotten paid even after the Owner Brad approved the work per his own emergency hot line. This is one of a couple dozen I’ve been fighting for. Tenants issues are not answered for months, I can’t imagine the owners of these properties are 100% aware of situations.

Low cost housing, leasing agents are very professional, maintenance requests are handled quickly and effectively. On time rent payments are reported and help build credit.

The absolute worst company I have ever rented from. The building was INFESTED with mice and they literally told me the owner was trying to sell the property so they wouldn’t do anything. I caught 4 in one week and could hear them in the walls. As a company, your number one job is to advocate for your tenants which was not being done. I went 4 days without hot water and 2 weeks without heat in December. The ceiling fan in my bedroom FELL OUT OF THE CEILING and fell onto me when I was sleeping which took 2 weeks to replace. When I initially moved in, the apartment was filthy and they did not offer to accommodate me in any way until after the 4th phone call which they then only gave me $100 off rent for that month. The deck leading up to apartment was literally caving in. I had a family member almost fall through because a board gave out when he stepped on it. The lock on my door did not work and when I called, they said they had just fixed it so it was fine, didn’t even come check it. I finally reported them to the city for inhumane living conditions which still did not seem to impact their attentiveness.

Take note before moving in with this company, I wish I had!
From poor communication, outrageous charges, and poor Management.
I was moved into a unit that was not ready for move-in, I took picture and Videos of all of my concerns.
I never heard anything back from them after going back-and-forth. Upon moving out they opted to keep over $1200 of my security deposit, claiming paintwork, dog urine and normal wear and tear mind you I was only there for one year the dog is house-trained and was present for less than six months.

I had the unit professionally cleaned prior to move out.

I requested paint match for the walls and they advised me to take a chip off the wall and did the best I could.

Now out of my $1280 security deposit, they only refunded me $52.50.

We have been clients with Renters Warehouse for 5 years, Brad Neal and his staff have been excellent to work with. Always being upfront with communicating and taking the worry and stress out of management of our property. We highly recommend this business for managing rental property. Very easy to work with.

I don't know about any other properties but the property that I was at was horrible mold in the cabinets mice roaches there was always a confusion on maintenance to come out they never send pest control out but one time I have called complained and asked for help and no help they continue to give me the runaround but also demanded my rent there was no care for any of their tenants I also had to call the police several times they didn't do anything about it I was charged for damages that I didn't cause no one helped me or responded to any of my messages or emails send me an email and I will definitely send you anything you want to know about this property management I have so many more stories and I will definitely be commenting them also to let you guys know they will charge you if you live in their property if you talk about them negatively that's why I waited until I was out of their property so that I could tell the truth

THE WORST. I rented at 4664 Parkridge ave took months to fix ac and I had to get the city’ inspector on it. They almost tried kicking us out 3 months before our lease was up we HAVE PROOF. We had paid 3 month advance by impact. Now we are trying to get out rental history and we have had no luck it’s been almost 3 WEEKS. and out deposit disposition is still not mailed to us. THIS IS THE WORST. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST THE COMPANY IS THE WORST. DO NOT RECOMMEND. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY PLEASE. I’m going to get all the paperwork that has proof and emails and screen shots of chat. Give me a few days.
