Absolutely horrible people to deal with. I spent tens of thousands of dollars in improvements to my home in 2018 and never received any contact from them except for my submissions returned to me weeks later with “denied” written on it. I couldn’t keep my contractors waiting any more so I just went ahead with my fence, concrete and shed as I already had permission from both the HOA board and then owner of the development/ property. All of my work was inspected by the village and approved. This company called the village and tried to get my permits denied. When I called and spoke to Rose (the owner) she read to me from the covenants for some other development and spoke down to me with no respect. Now they fine me $100 a month for a shed that has been there for seven years and is anchored to its concrete foundation. I can not afford to remove my fence and then hire an excavator to remove the foundation. Many neighbors have complemented my shed and it can hardly be seen from the street. This company has done nothing but fight me, make me miserable and refuse to work with me. I feel like they are in this only for the money and do not care at all about the homeowners. I also feel like they have too much of a work load to appropriately handle their responsibilities.

We have a bee problem and my wife has called on Friday for them to take care of the situation. My wife has told them she is allergic and they are coming into our townhouse. My wife has also told them that the bees have infested our home as well as our neighbor and the townhome right next to our neighbor. A woman answered and has told us that this will be taken care of on the same day. Nobody came. I called on Monday 3 times went straight to voicemail. Nobody called me back. I called Tuesday nobody answered. We pay every month for a management company that doesn’t seem to know how to “manage” anything at this point. For starters the phone. My wife is allergic to bees and she’s pregnant and the woman told us we will take care of it right away and well 5 days later nobody took care of it.

Just a friendly piece of advice: if you're in the market for a condo or townhouse, make sure to ask your realtor about the name of the homeowners association (HOA). If they mention Schrank and Associates, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Dealing with Schrank and Associates has been a nightmare. I've been trying to resolve an issue for over a month and a half with no success. Their customer service is extremely poor, with little to no communication and unanswered questions. Take a look at their reviews on Yelp and Google and you'll see why they have such a bad reputation. If I had known about their track record, I would never have purchased a condo under their management. I really can't fathom how they are still in business, but I suspect it's due to political reasons.
Whoever gave them a five-star either must have been drunk or high because they're the worst HOA company you could deal with when it comes down to customer service over the phone or through email.

I have lived her for 32 years and must say the management is horrible. Our driveways and sidewalks to our front entrance are covered with ice and snow. I called regarding this issue and nothing has been done not even a return call. There have been other issues, but this snow removal needs to be addressed now.

I have lived in our townhome for 15 years and have never had a good experience with Schrank & Associates. I have called them multiple times over the last week for an issue with our roof with no response. They have no interest in resolving issues but happily take our money every month. Timely snow removal was dismal and during the summer the lawn care services have only gotten worse and worse. They do not deserve 1 star but that is the only way I can provide a review.

I can't speak for others but I rarely write reviews, especially if service is as expected. However, today I have had a horrible experience dealing with a property management company. I called to see why one of my payments was returned. This other property management company which I have not had the best experience in the past told me they cannot locate any record of who I am or the address I provided. What should have been a 2 minute call turned into 15 minutes. No one at this office seemed aware or willing to look into why this had occurred. It seem their only goal was to get me off the phone. I called one of my neighbors who informed me our HOA recently switched management companies. I called the new management company Schrank & Associates where I was greeted and informed on the details I was seeking. Very professional and courteous, Alina went out of her way to get me as much information as possible to ease my concerns. Great first impression by Schrank & Associates.

Our Association have been in business with Schrank for the past two years, and nothing has changed to alter this review. The owner sets a high standard which is followed through by all employees. Regardless of what the other reviews state, they have a great line of communication as they always answer the phone and provide all necessary information. Rules of our Condo Association and Illinois Laws are always followed and the employees are always able give assistance on how to handle homeowner issues. All bills are approved by the board before it is payed by them which allows the board to stay on top of the finances. All employees in the office are friendly and we have never had a negative interaction with them.
