This management company FAILS at managing!! They are horrible with communication, and even though they have emails and phone numbers on record, they choose to only give information through snail mail. In December amidst all holiday mail, they chose to only mail a notice that all water would be shut off on December 11 from 8am-5pm in my community and the 55+ community adjacent to us. They gave no other notice through phone or email, and by so doing many residents only found out when the water was already off. So now needs such as bathing, using the bathroom, cooking, drinking water, laundry, etc are all not able to be done for adults and children alike. Something of this magnitude needed to be communicated with MUCH more advanced notice and through every form of communication possible to make sure residents knew and could prepare! This is just icing on the cake for all the areas they are not successfully able to manage. They are a PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY for Pete’s sake!
Noticed supposedly mailed 12/4/24, I retrieved 12/11 and can say for certain was not in the mail on 12/7 or 12/8. Regardless, a few days is NOT enough notice!!!!

I also completely agree with previous reviews that they take a LOT of money for almost nothing in return! I’d love to know where the money is really going because the budgets they send to us are absurd—there’s no way they take as much as they do for a little as we get in return. Criminal or terrible with money, either way we need new management!

This so called “management” company is so utterly incompetent I can’t believe they still even exist. They genuinely should be investigated for misuse of HOA funds, there is no way they should be collecting as much HOA fees as they do and offerings almost zero amenities. They put zero effort into communicating anything with the people that live in their HOA. Like a planned 9 hour water shut off to the whole community. They sent a “mailer” that delivered the day of or day after “informing” us of the planned shut off. You have our email, you have our phone number, you honestly don’t go through every effort to notify of this planned inconvenience? What absolute and complete disrespect. That’s all this community management company does, completely disrespecting the people that live in the HOA they manage.

As a vendor I can honestly say that Sierra Community Management is one of the best management companies to manage an HOA. I know firsthand the Abbey Groth and Connie Conwell are in the top 3 managers out of 330 managers we work with. They both actually do their inspections thoroughly and both communicate with their board members and vendors on a continuous basis. If you’re gonna pay someone to do a job you should expect them to do a great job and they do!

I am an owner of property and the management employees work bankers hours 9-5 , Friday's 9-2 , and don’t seem to have enough time to work on their property owners questions. I Never get a response unless it’s related to my payment! Then I get to speak to someone right away. This is ridiculous, they are always off property and not available or it goes to voicemail.

There are some good people at Sierra but unfortunately too much turnover and mistakes made by previous employees left our board members working extra to keep things in order. Relatively low maintenance community and still several major issues occurred.

They are the HOA of my community and allowed some sleezy tow truck to charge $160.00 as we were moving. Quick Tow said we had a Tire half way in the red zone and as they were cruising around in our private property found said infraction. This was also on New Years to boot. Even the police wouldn't come as it was on private property.

This company's HOA management license should be suspend.. at one of the managed community last one week everyday specially night time main gate wide open whole night. No guard in the cabin or on duty. One of the security guard week ago cought sleeping in the car. No guard and gate wide open so criminals in n out in Property. Last month post box lockers also broken. This company careless and nightmare. Charging $240 per month HOA but seirra company is careless. It's shame to management company.

Horrible HOA this place needs to be investigated for criminal offenses, they take your money and don't care about the community. "Managers" are clueless. A couple of neighbors and I are hiring lawyers to investigate this company's spending our money, can't wait to see what we find out. Shame on you Sierra mgt!!! Be on the lookout people they are criminals!!!!
