I have been renting in NYC for over 10 years with over 4 different landlord/management companies and this is by far the worst management company I have ever had the unfortunate experience of dealing with. It has been 3 months since we moved out of our apartment and we have yet to receive our security deposit back. It takes them days to weeks to respond to emails. They finally sent us a check and it's completely ILLEGIBLE and was rejected by our bank. They are incompetent at best and thieves and liars at worst. To add insult to the injury, we had to pay a 15% broker's fee (over $6000) after agreeing to a 18 month lease only to be abruptly notified 10 months into our lease that the owner is selling our apartment and we need to move out. Avi Klein is by far the worst. I feel sorry for anyone who has the misfortune of dealing with this terrible man. Avi informed us the apartment would be ready for move in on July 1. I found out that the previous tenants were leaving on June 30, which led me to wonder how they would have enough time to turn the apartment around. Avi insisted that the apartment would be cleaned and ready by July 1. After much back and forth, we agreed to move in on July 4. Upon driving all the way from NJ to NY with movers on July 4, we found the apartment in a state of disarray, untouched since the last tenants left. There was old food in the fridge, poop stains in the toilet. Avi, instead of apologizing, STILL insisted that we could move in despite the apartment not being cleaned, so that they could start collecting rent. He told us that they could clean and paint around our stuff. What an absolute joke of a management company this is. Please do yourself a favor and do not rent from them. If you somehow find that you have no other choice, word of advice- do not pay them last month's rent, otherwise you may never get your money back.

I have lived in a Top Quality Management building for 2.5 years and have found they maintain the building very well. Any tickets I submit for issues are responded to in a timely manner and someone comes nearly everyday to maintain the common areas and trash.

I moved into a TQM operated building in Greenpoint nearly two months ago, but the dishwasher has not been operational the entire time. After repeated attempts to get this resolved, I finally learned that the dishwasher was installed without having ever been plugged in, and in order to fix it, the entire casing around the dishwasher will need to be removed. I’m incredibly disappointed by my experience with TQM and there has been a complete lack of accountability. I do want to thank Ashley for her support with the issue but this is simply not acceptable.

Top Quality Management has been the best management company I've dealt with in all my experience living in NYC. They are extremely responsive to any issues that arise in my apartment and send someone over immediately. I've had problems fixed within the hour of reporting it. They keep the building common area well cleaned and maintained. Thank you for making this living situation an awesome experience!

This is the worst management company in the world. ANY and EVERY positive written review here is fake and written by an Employee. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. They are extremely unresponsive, rude, and they lie a lot. I’ve had a leak for over a head that still isn’t resolved. They are a cheap Jewish company that doesn’t like to spend money on anything. They are super rude on the phone and unprofessional. They constantly cancel appointments and buy time to fix items. STAY AWAY FROM TOP QUALITY. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. Terrible company

Top Quality management is anything BUT quality - I lived in one of their buildings for a year with 3 other roommates in Brooklyn. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There are so many terrible things I could say about this company and their employees, specifically Albert and Zevi. First of all it will take you months to get things fixed, and you will have to call almost every day until you wear them down enough that they can't ignore you anymore. They will deliberately hold back information on the chain of command and make it almost impossible to reach senior management. They were always rude and dismissive. The worst of it happened with moving out - we were sent images of damage made to ANOTHER apartment and they claimed it was ours (we didn't have a chandelier in our apartment unless we were all blind) only when we threatened legal action did they realize they would be caught in the lie and removed the photos from the statement (although at first Albert told us to bring it on, that they go to court all the time, which should tell you something about their company). They also claimed that all of the rooms had 'severe' damage done to the walls even though we had time-stamped photos taken on move out day that proved otherwise. They were firm in charging us $2625 for this 'damage' (nail holes and a few missing spots of paint) I After several phone conversations lasting over an hour - they would put us on hold for 20 minutes for seemingly no reason at all - we finally broke them down and Albert emailed saying he could give us a 'deal' for $1000 off our deposit. The return of a deposit is not a 'deal', it's outlined in a contract that they themselves created but chose not to follow. Long story short, half the time they have no idea what they're doing and don't communicate amongst themselves, and the other half they maliciously try to pick fights with there tenants that have no business even being an issue. Me and my roommates are very happy to be out of that place and done dealing with these unprofessional and unkind people. Save yourself the trouble and move. somewhere. else!!!!

Have had Top Quality Management as our property manager for the last 1.5 years. We have had consistent cleaning and maintenance of the lobby and garbage areas - the super was always friendly. Have put in our fair share of maintenance requests and have had them resolved within a reasonable time. Best thing probably is the technology - ability to pay online through the platform and submit maintenance requests.
