This was one of the most unorganized jobs I’ve ever worked at. As a manager, I never felt trusted to make the right decision. There are a bunch of people in leadership that don’t have experience in what they’re doing. On this job, I was constantly bullied via email for deadlines and worked under two job descriptions! Prior to doing that, I hadn’t ever heard of such a thing.
I signed 2 job descriptions to be responsible for but my salary was only for one. The best thing about the job was the front line staff that is beyond UNDER APPRECIATED! There’s no employee of the month program or any means of recognition. Over the last 9 weeks, I watched staff get sick while taking care of many COVID residents. They put themselves on the line. I was there 9 months had 2 administrators. Lack of consistency, trust in management, and cohesiveness in the company is why it won’t go back to black but will stay in the red... losing money. I’m pretty sure the owners will start selling off the buildings. I feel bad for staff, residents, and families.

My father has been a private pay patient at Carrington Place in Wytheville VA for 6 months. His teeth (natural) were NEVER brushed except when I did it. His toenails were NEVER clipped and are so long they are curling up. He's been unshaven for days and was supposed to have showers 2 times a week. He was lucky to get 1 a week. I visited him every other day and saw the same dirty shirt on him from one visit to the other. I have requested numerous times for staff to brush his teeth, bathe him, shave him and have his toenails cared for. All I got was a disrespectful attitude. Another issue is their billing system. Completely and deliberately confusing so you don't know what you should or should not pay. Bottom line... the care he receives is no where close to the $7000 per month he pays. Negligence plain and simple and I plan to contact the proper authorities. Oh, and I have pictures.

If you oversee Carrington Place in Wytheville, Va you are neglecting your management of this facility. That facility needs an overhaul and suggestions on overcoming negligence of patients and dishonest, unfair billing practices. You are gouging the elderly and their families. I will be contacting my Congressman.
