I lived in an apartment run by upstate for 1.5 years, and I had a really great experience! Andy was hands-down the best landlord I've ever had. All problems were minimal and dealt with quickly and efficiently, and the property was well-maintained. When moving in and out, Andy and his team were available to assist with issues (they even helped me take out a window when my oversized couch wouldn't fit through the door!) and they were always friendly when doing it. I also really loved my apartment - especially the brand new kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I highly recommend renting through this company!

Five stars are just the limit of ratings, I would give more if possible. Perfect experience to live in the apartment of Upstate Management. Their staff is very professional and kind. Always deal with the issues at the first time and solve them so efficiently. If you are looking for apartment near the university and you really value your privacy. Choose their apartment.

Lived at Walnut Ave for three years while I was going to school in Syracuse and had a great experience with Upstate Management. Andy and Kristen work very hard to keep everything in order and are super accommodating. They make sure to work with you to meet your needs and are great at communicating.

My apartment was an easy 15 minute walk to school and everything I needed, with laundry and parking available on site. 5/5, highly recommend renting from Upstate Management!

I lived at 1009 Madison Street for two years and 514 Walnut Avenue for another two years. Upstate Management managed both properties.

If you are a SU student interested in walking-distance one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments, I strongly recommend properties managed by Upstate Management. As a graduate student who spent five years at SU, my experience with Upstate Management was incredibly great. Andy and Kristen manage the Madison Street and Walnut Avenue apartments. Andy and Kristen are very professional and quick in responding to tenants' requests. I did not have any inconvenience in the maintenance system of Upstate Management. AC and heating are fully equipped. There was no outage problem in gas, water, and power during my four years of living. You can choose between the furnished option and the unfurnished option. Andy has a parking lot on Walnut Avenue. The parking permit has a monthly fee, but you do not need to have it because the street parking is not that crowded even during the semester. Andy has free laundry machines in the basement of 1009 Madison and 514 Walnut for tenants.

As we can see on the Google Map, most of Andy's properties are very close to SU campus. 1009 Madison and 514 Walnut are just 10 minutes away from the Bird Library and 15 minutes away from Eggers Hall. The neighbor is very safe and walkable even during the night. Walking to Syracuse downtown is also not that bad during the spring, summer, and fall. Compared to other apartments on Madison Street and Walnut Avenue, Andy suggests a lot more reasonable price for both one-bedroom and two-bedroom options.

If I go back to 2017 and I need to choose my apartment again as a SU graduate student, I will definitely choose among Andy's properties again. I think that I was very lucky to run into the website of Upstate Management during my random Googling in 2017. I am delighted to share my great experience by writing this Google review.

We relocated to central New York and needed to find a home base while we searched for a house. Upstate Management worked with us in this regard and afforded us a six month lease, plus a turnkey option; with furniture, an equipped kitchen and a nice laundry area in the building. The apartment is centrally located and pet friendly! Just a hop, skip and jump from the Lake and a drive to the local dog park. There are a variety of restaurants close by which is very convenient. Parking out front and snow removal provided. Thank you to the Upstate Management team who were very responsive and efficient.

I'm an International student at SU and living there during my first year in Syracuse was great way to get settled in town. The apartments are in excellent shape and Andy is always available to solve any doubts or issues one might encounter. Highly recommended.

I lived in an apartment on Walnut Ave. with Upstate Management for 2 1/2 years. I would have stayed longer if I didn't graduate! The maintenance is extremely attentive and responds quickly. The management treats all tenants with respect and are very friendly and helpful with anything you need. Other management groups in the area have bad reputations for docking harshly on security deposits, but with Upstate Management I received all my security deposits back from both places I stayed with them. Although I could go on forever about how great the staff is- my favorite part about living with Upstate Management was the apartments. Most apartments in Syracuse are bland, four boring white walls. But, my apartments on Walnut were beautiful and had the history of the buildings maintained wonderfully. They also have parking available which makes a huge difference since street parking near campus is sometimes impossible. Snow removal was always quick and included sidewalks and the parking lot. I wish I could move back and live with them again.
